WASHINGTON (AP) -- The White House says the photograph of a dead Osama bin Laden is "gruesome" and that "it could be inflammatory" if released.
White House press secretary Jay Carney said the White House is mulling whether to make the photo public, but he said officials are concerned about the "sensitivity" of doing so.

Interesting, they did mind releasing all of Bush's interrogation information all across the world for the Jihadists to see.

Not really gruesome, but the wrong guy...
To: Free ThinkerNY
Maybe it wouldn't be so inflamitory if they mounted it on a pike, a sort of disconnect as it were.

Pictures of people who died from gunshots to the head usually are. So? We're not a nation of children or hysterics, though the Left persists in trying to turn us into exactly that.
and that "it could be inflammatory" if released.
More inflammatory than actually killing him? Nonsense. Leaving the slightest room for doubt in the minds of jihadis is far more inflammatory. Release the picture.

Oh... I don't know. If we can stomach 2 years of “O”, we can sure tolerate the picture of Osama plugged in the head.

Why do you want to see the picture?
To: Free ThinkerNY
If their explanation is true, then these guys have no business dealing with the public...period. If it's not true, and there's another reason to withhold the pic, then these guys have no business dealing with the public.
The White house reeks of incompetence.
