The forum is different now — that goes without saying.

But some of the cynical attitude is brought on by the plain poor character of the figurehead of this leftist juggernaut. I find it hard not to count the “I” and “my” references. It clouds all victory and shades all sunshine.

I am glad our forces got him after so many years of effort. I congratulate them with a full heart for those we lost.

The forum is probably different because people come and go. Life is different than it was 10 years ago, even 5 years ago. People change with the times. Some changes are reflections of what has come down over the past years. Those changes are slow and go unnoticed until they blossom into full view.

Someone posted a while back that Bush 41 once said the American people would go nuts if they knew the truth about some of the things we have done. Wow

The reality of what has happened to this country has settled in. I sure miss the old days when I put my trust in the people I voted for. Life was so much more pleasant than it is now.

People now have to be on guard, for good reason. And when they are on guard, they are accused of being unpatriotic or too cynical.

There should be healthy questioning of what the government offers. Politicians think mostly about reelection.

Yesteryear was great, but yesteryear has only been successful in bringing us today. That is nothing to be proud of. The country is on the brink.
