It was never intended to take him alive...nor should it have been. Go to the live thread and get better information....and the whole story...as it comes together....facts are getting lost along the way with so many threads about this.
BTW There is no way a special force team of 25 men entering a compound such as this would even begin to imagine the remotest possibility of taking him alive...they knew it was heavily armed and protected....even Ben Ladin fired before he was taken out....a fire fight means just that...lots of bullits.
Perhaps. I’m just saying if they could have gotten him alive that may have been better. Presumably there was some point at which our guys had him in their sights and someone fired the kill shot. I’m just saying maybe it would have been better to go for his knees or some other non-lethal force. Maybe have some taser type weapon to knock him out. I understand if they couldn’t. Who knows maybe one of his own bodyguards took him out when they saw how close we were(he had said he’d never be taken alive and his guards had orders to kill him if he was in danger of being captured-of ocurse we’d never admit the real story).
But I was just thinking of some of the intel he took with him that we’ll never have access to.
