I've supported Trump when he was taking it to Obama and the MSM.

But the language is elfin' embarrassing, and in itself is disqualifying. I hope he disappears.

China is a foreign communist nation. Corporate-government interests collaborating with China are working against American freedom and are now collaborating in trying to destroy the USA. They are communist sympathizers.

The United States Constitution, Article I, Section 8:
“The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;...To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations,...”

The Tariff Act of 1789 was the first national source of revenue for the newly formed United States.

Something has to change in this global market mess because the US is headed in a race to the lowest common demoninator of the globe and really, the third world does not thrill me much.

“honestly i prefer f-bombs to john BONER constantly crying and bending over for obama”.

Mega dittos on that one. I can’t picture the Donald breaking down into tears everytime he gets up to give a speech.

Its downright humiliating to watch Tammy Faye get out his crying towel every 15 minutes. Maybe he hits the booze a little too hard.

I think Trump is talking about an edge of the water tax. The Chinese would pay a 25% tax directly to the US govt at the time of entry of their products. Then after that they can compete with American business.

Slap 25% tariff on Chinese imports that have other, more friendly Asian suppliers. Korea, India, etc

That screws with China and does not hit people here in the pocketbook.

Korea, Taiwan, India will be quick to fill the void.

Play them against each other for our benefit....don’t take no crap from any nation that restricts imports from the US.

And talking like a loud-mouthed adolescent under the influence of too much hip-hop culture is certainly something other than bidness as effin' usual. First we have the Jay Z POTUS who thinks scratching his nose with his middle finger is the height of clever, now we have a guy who thinks he's going to run the White House like Tommy DeVito from Goodfellas. He's gonna go droppin' f-bombs and breaking bad with the last real purchaser of US Treasuries on the planet.

Effin' brilliant. I'm sure the Chinamen are shaking in their sandals.

It would please me if folks with this tired uninformed view would learn the “Hubcap Theory.”

Nope just a nation of people that are sick and effin tired of business as usual.

Yep

I'm looking for the first guy that kicks the podium off the stage, shows some gut and *genuine* concern for America, tells Mexico to F off, tells China to keep their plastic trinkets and tainted doggy yum yums, and threatens to sell 10 dollar slices of bread to these bastards, while slowly building the U.S. back into a self sufficient super fortress, stops all foreign aid until we get our OWN economy and country back, cuts off ALL tax paid support of illegal aliens, GETS MY VOTE.

Enough bull shit.

No more insider politics as usual. That kind of worn out strategy has nearly left America dead on the floor.

The hubcap theory: An assembly plant in Detroit pays someone $40 an hour to put on hub caps. Someone else comes along and offers to put on the hubcaps for $35 an hour. Soon someone else offers even less until the job goes to a third world nation where they put on the hubcaps for 40 cents an hour.

When you learn the theory, then apply it to Trump’s Signature Collection of clothing. Start with sewing a button on the shirt in New York City.

All the bluenose freepers are out in force, dropping their cups of tea and lace doilies over a couple of F bombs.

Donald’s a true blue Queens New Yorker. Personally, I love hearing him speak truth to power - the New York way. I don’t think he’ll ever be president but I’m enjoying this F’in ride.

The difference can actually be HUGE!
The tariff would be on the large lot wholesale prices..not retail. Because of the razor thin Asian profit margins it would devastate China. The effect of the US consumer would be slight. There would be a possible 10-12% rise in retail cost per item to the consumer. That would probably be made up mostly by China reducing their wholesale prices so they can at least stay in the game with other Asian giants.

Then , don't keep the tariff profits in the hands of the government. At about 2 weeks before each Christmas send every taxpayer that actually payed at least a little tax to the treasury the refund as a sort of holiday bonus. Actual Hope And Change for a change. It would not be a whole lot but people would remember it. Lets say you stuck the Chicoms for 50 billion...now divide that by say 140million actual payers of income tax

50 000 000 000 / 140 000 000 = 357.142857

One must remember the effects of the Smoot and Hawley Tariff Act which was a tariff on imports. It’s effects deepened the Depression. You see, when you exert a tariff on imports, you increase the costs to the American consumer. Protectionism is always a bad deal to the economy. We already saw the first repeat of the errors of the Depression with the Stimulus Bill. Are we so stupid that we repeat another terrible mistake with tariffs?

I used to go to this Chinese buffet. Good food except for a shrimp dish they always had. I could not eat those shrimp. They tasted like they were grown in a Chinese sewage canal.

They're probably all government employees, enjoying their tax paid, lottery style retirements and opulent tax paid government benefits...lol

Ya think they want to upset the apple cart? Nope...They want business as usual. Bet the rent.

Donald Trump's Crazy Las Vegas Speech: The Best Quotes

(0) | TrackBacks (0)
Ryan Faughnder | April 29, 2011
Senior News Editor

Seemingly believing himself to be on a victory lap after President Barack Obama released the long-form version of his birth certificate, providing more proof that he was born in the United States, reality TV star Donald Trump delivered an expletive-laden speech to Republicans in Las Vegas.

"Listen, you m************"
"Listen, you m************"

It was more of a 30-minute Ron White routine than a political speech. Those in attendance ate it up. After again taking credit for Obama’s release of his birth certificate, Trump called U.S. leadership “weak,” "incompetent,” and "stupid," among other things.

On foreign policy, he said 99 percent of Egyptians want to break the peace treaty with Israel. The real figure is 54 percent, but who's counting?

Here are some other top quotes:

  • Citing the recent Rasmussen poll putting him ahead among likely Republican candidates: “And who’s number one? Trump!”
  • On Saudi Arabia possibly cutting oil production: “Can you believe it? You’re going to be paying 5 and 6 dollars a gallon pretty soon, and they wanna go in and raise the price of oil, because we have nobody in Washington that sits back and says, ‘Listen, you’re not going to raise that fucking price.'”
  • On Chinese President Hu Jintao’s visit to the U.S.: “When people are screwing you, you don’t give ‘em state dinners.”
  • On China, monetary policy and diplomacy: “What we do is we sit down in my office for a couple of hours, we either make a deal where you stop manipulating your currency or not. If you make a deal, you can have a state dinner if you want. If you don’t make a deal, you take McDonald’s and you go home.”
  • On his chances in 2012: “And, you know, there’s a good chance that no matter happens, I won’t win because one of these bloodsucking politicians who’s been bullshitting people for years will end up getting elected.”
  • On giving military aid to foreign countries: “I’m interested in protecting none of them unless they pay us.”
  • On giving up his television career to run for president: “It’s a great show. I’m gonna give a lot of stuff up. But you know what, it’s peanuts compared with the importance of this country.”
  • He also suggested imposing a 25 percent tax on goods from China, though almost no economist thinks protectionism is a good idea. Here's how he said he would negotiate the deal: “You can have one man say [in a mouse-like voice], ‘We’re gonna tax you 25 percent,' and I can say [in his normal voice], ‘Listen you motherfuckers, we’re gonna tax you 25 percent.' You’ve said the same exact thing, but it’s a different message.”

No kidding.
