I don’t doubt the doc is from 1961, I just have doubts about the info in the doc being accurate.
I find it hard to believe that in 1961 a woman could give birth in HI and a couple of weeks later be in Washington state with the baby.
There was jet service in 1961 but it was very limited. There was still a lot of prop planes flying.
I find it very iffy that in 1961 the airlines would allow a woman with a couple of weeks old baby on a plane for that long a flight.
Agreed. But what if she decided to go to Canada to have the baby at an unwed mother facility and before she left she found through her grandmother a doctor who would fill out the filing form and let her sign it, but not date it then, being unsure if she would keep the baby. (remember the number is assigned at a central location, not at the Doctor's office or hospital) After the baby was delivered she could call grandma and have her contact the Dr. friend and proceed with the document. If she had decided to adopt out the child, it might have been easier with a U.S. citizenship. No transportation problem, no time delay. She could easily be at Seattle for college then.
Then she takes the baby to stay with grandma.
And what is the alternative theory? That she gave birth in Kenya, and still somehow ended up in Washington State a few weeks later with the baby? How is that plausible, but not so if she gave birth in Hawaii?
So you think that in 1961 a woman could give birth in Kenya, and a couple of weeks later be in Washington state with the baby?
I’m with you. I think the birth took place in Canada, near WA state.
Additionally...
How could we find out what planes came from Kenyan in that month??
