I agree on that one, but what I’ve seen so far is that they’re only talking about requiring proof of citizenship, NOT emphasizing the Natural Born Citizen qualification. There needs to be public awareness and discussion of THIS. But isn’t the problem that it’s not clearly and specifically defined in the Constitution? I mean, BHO’s “BC” plainly says his “father” is Kenyan, i.e. British subject, but NO one has ever said anything about that disqualifying Obama - not one single public/media person.
Beck’s rumors of war docs were great, but he is losing credibility on this issue. He is acting like everyone who attacks him. He wants people to question things and then is telling them to stop caring about this issue. Well, I think it is hypocritical. He should just drop discussing the issue if he hates it. He is doing a disservice to his followers.
If Glenn Beck had come out like this on this Birth Certificate issue from day one instead of trying to avoid it for three years, then he might have been as popular as he was. His stance and especially Pat and Stu’s stances, on the subject fly in the face of everything Glenn beck stands for. He is basically acting like Karl Rove on the issue.

Because it's not damaging to Obama. It's damaging to Republicans. Accusations without proof were easy to portray as fringe and racist. Obama is a creation of white guilt, and victimhood is his oxygen. Having a low level of birtherism around was armor for him. It wasn't until Trump started to make the BC a mainstream issue that the Obami decided to end the circus.
This was never a path to dethroning Obama. So long as there's a shred of plausible deniability, liberals and independents will give Obama the benefit of the doubt. Furthermore, they see the 'natural born citizen' clause as vague, anachronistic and unnecessary, if not downright wrong. It's a murky area of the Constitution, written by better men that us in times when it was commonly understood why a man's allegiance was an crucial issue. Most non-conservative Americans don't get it, or see it as a disdainful thing.
Fast forward to 2011. America is being run into the ground. Today. By Obama. It could not be more obvious. Liberals won't ever come around, but independents can be persuaded by pointing out how objectively incompetent and wrong Obama's policies are. Bad leadership, bad results. That sells. Obama cries crocodile tears about all the 'distractions', but he needs every rodeo clown he can get to keep the heat off of his failed policies. The Birth Certificate was one of those issues.
Trump, whatever his motivations, robbed Obama of his favorite trick to distract the electorate. That's the payoff. There was never a scenario that ended with Obama being frog marched out of the White House after failing to produce a BC. Ever. The voters didn't turn on Obama when he had no past and they didn't know him. They won't turn on him for a sketchy past now that he's a familiar face. If the voters won't reject him on the policies that are turning us into a third world backwater, they ain't gonna care about a technicality in his birth paperwork.
Obama lost this week. Not because of what was on the BC, but in that he was revealed to be a petulant, immature weirdo. He looks like a fool for holding on to the BC this long. His stature is lessened, his credibility is lowered. They sympathy he gets in the short term will be replaced by disdain in the long term. Enjoy that win, but understand that further pursuit will only snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Absent a first hand confession from Obama, the birther issue is now inoperative.

BTW, did you see the Oprah episode where she explicitly challenged him why he waited 2+ years...and he ducks and diverts the question...never answering it.
And now we have a supposedly official document that the Communist Governor of Hawaii admitted couldn't be found ...miraculously appearing...

Anyways, I am not particularly concerned about this probably false document, for the simple reason that Obama claims it is real...and so he has an admission against self-interest from which he can't readily withdraw...
He is de facto admitting he is not eligible under the U.S. Constitution with this document. His father was not a U.S. Citizen, and hence Obama cannot be a "Natural Born" American. Case law precedent is settled. Both parents must be US Citizens.
Now that we have an "official" admission of the status, his eligibility is decisively rejectable by Congress...if they developed a backbone for the Constitution.
Meanwhile, I have agree with the thread... Beck is seriously ignorant of the Constitutional requirement and case law. He is clearly misunderstanding what the 14th Amendment does. It doesn't apply to, nor amend or revoke, the very specific "Natural Born" requirement for the office of President of the U.S.A.
His opposition to Communism, while rather late in life, is indeed laudable.

He railed earlier this week, very angrily, that the Birther issue was distracting us from a near apocalypse on our door step. Then once Obummer discloses his BC, Beck spends the whole day on the radio laughing and mocking the Birthers for being stupid idiots. If things are so in peril, why waste time mocking people you find ignorant rubes?

I like Beck but that annoyed me too. Seems like he was distracted not by the birth certificate issue but by people who think the birth certificate is an issue. So he too was distracted by the magician.

That has always been a reasonable fear, as we know so many ideological hard-core leftwing radicals have infiltrated into the MSM and scholastic enterprises...and even the GOP...his rather late discovery of the communist government takeover was always a red flag...but as the story goes, hope for the best, prepare for the worst. I never put too much trust in him....which of course he says not to do. So, people, don't.

Beck punted the ball by refusing to address the biggest Constitutional crisis of our time after proclaiming to support the Constitution.
I'm not so sure about it. Regardless of the validity of 'birtherism', Trump's foray into the argument FORCED Obama's hand in saving the proof to an early conclusion (regardless of whether the BC released recently is real or not - constructively, it is real because MSM now says 'settled')
Trump's short raid proved you can push Obama's buttons. We just need to find out what irks him next-most and drive his numbers down. He'll take care of effing up the economy all by his lonesome.
