Wait a minute. Is it not generally accepted public social policy and comes with U.S. government encouragement that higher education institutions SHOULD intentionally accept SOME “minority” applicants, who may not otherwise ‘make the grade’, and let them in as a “legitimate” way to increase the “diversity” of the student body?
By current political correct standards is that NOT a “racist” idea but the opposite. And if that was the case with Obama’s applications to Columbia and Harvard, in line with commonly accepted social and government policy, how could it be “racist”. It can’t.
So it is simply racist to ask about Obama’s grades? Why, when it has already been presented that even when he graduated Columbia he could not have had anything more than a C, or he would have been listed somewhere in his graduating class’ “honors” list, which he wasn’t. The real problem with Schieffer is that he is ignorant of the facts, could care less about the facts and like Obama thinks that Obama’s race warrants a pass on critical questions. Now THAT’s RACIST.
Bob Schieffer has got to be losing it to come out with something that far off the mark. Look at Lt. Col. Allen West and Herman Cain—whites make up the majority of thier supporters. Sorry Bob, playing the Race Card just doesn’t apply in this situation and you should be ashamed of yourself for even suggesting it!
How would Bob Schieffer know such a racist code exists unless he’s a racist himself.
I think that Herr Sheiffer has forgotten that Obama’s bloodlines is far ,far closer to his own than to someone like MLK.

Obama himself all but admits he was admitted to Harvard Law School because he was black in an article published in the HLS newspaper in 2008.

Indeed, my election last year as President of the Review would seem to indicate that at least among Review staff, and hopefully for the majority of professors at Harvard, affirmative action in no way tarnishes the accomplishments of those who are members of historically underrepresented groups.”
