Good morning, Lords and Ladies of the Realm........(waves graciously).
Was there ever a more traditional bride? Looking at vintage wedding dress web sites, Kate’s gown could have been worn in the 50’s. She looks so very beautiful——so understated——just like a commoner should look marrying a prince. Course, Kate is now the Duchess of Cambridge.
How bout those cantilevered hats worn by some of the guests? Makes you wonder if they crazy-glued them to their heads for the day.
Some of the hats...”Hideous” comes to mind...especially Fergie’s daughters.
Choir sings:
THE MOTET
Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est. Congregavit nos in unum Christi amor. Exsultemus et in ipso
jucundemur. Timeamus et amemus Deum vivum. Et ex corde diligamus nos sincero. Amen.
Wherever charity and love are to be found, God is there. The love of Christ has brought us together as one. Let
us rejoice and be glad in him. Let us fear and love the living God; and let us love one another with sincerity in
our heart. Amen.
Paul Mealor (b 1975) after 1 John 4
I thought the dress was reminiscent of Grace Kelly. I love it.
Oh noes! The ABC feed just cut out...now there is no sound!!
Good morning, Lady Liz...and thank you for being our most gracious hostess this morning. The gown, veil and tiara are stunning...yes, very vintage and oh, so beautiful. And the ceremony and choir have me weeping. SO happy for the Queen today.
