He’s not your typical megachurch guy. He was a small pastor called to minister to NYC, and his emphasis was always personal holiness and being sold out to God. He tells his story in The Cross and the Switchblade, where he went to the ghetto and ministered to gang leaders.

In 1977, I worked with Teen Challenge in Rochester, NY, while attending Elim Bible Institute (Lima). Dave made it all right to "go with God" and his testimony led many to come to know God. His leadership and life are a tribute to His (and our) Master!

Dave is a rich man tonight, with all those treasures he laid... and God has surely taken his hand and blessed his work. He offered real hope and lives were really changed...
