Show Obama’s birth certificate (Hit and Miss)
The Provo Daily Herald ^ | April 27, 2011 | The Editor

Where was President Barack Obama born? In Kenya, as his grandmother is alleged to have said, or in Hawaii, as most everybody else says?

Is Obama eligible to be president? The Constitution requires that a person holding that office be a "natural born" citizen. If our president is not natural born, then he has perpetrated one of the greatest frauds in American history.

It's a real issue, politically speaking. Even more people today believe that Obama was born in Kenya than they did in 2008, when he was running for president. A New York Times/CBS poll found that 45 percent of adult Republicans believe that Obama was not born on American soil. That's up from 32 percent a year ago.

Even 10 percent of Democrats believe Obama was born in another country, with 9 percent unsure.

Conspiracy theorists have pointed to irregularities in Obama's "Certification of Live Birth" issued by the State of Hawaii. Questions arise whether that document was contemporaneous with Obama's birth or whether it was made later -- or even forged.

The questions just won't go away, even though they probably should -- not because Obama absolutely, certainly and incontrovertibly was born in Hawaii but because it doesn't really matter in terms of his eligibility for the office of president.

Lately the pot has been stirred by real estate mogul Donald Trump, who has not yet admitted publicly that he himself is running for president even though he shows many of the earmarks. Trump is currently seen in third place, behind Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee.

Trump points out -- accurately -- that Obama has never produced an original long-form birth certificate from any hospital in Hawaii. All that's on record is that "Certification," which is less authoritative and which is being attacked as a forgery from an official template.

Information continued to emerge. In a sworn deposition earlier this year, Tim Adams, former senior elections clerk for Honolulu, told of his official attempts to find an original birth record. He was unsuccessful. No contemporaneous long-form record is on file at any Honolulu hospital for baby Obama.

Adams claims that the government of Hawaii -- arguably the most Democrat of all Democrat states -- was covering up. In his affidavit Adams swears:

"During the course of my employment, I came to understand that for political reasons, various officials in the government of Hawaii, including then-Governor Linda Lingle and various officials of the Hawaii Department of Health, including Dr. Chiyome Fukino, the director of the Hawaii Department of Health, were making representations that Senator Obama was born in Hawaii, even though no government official in Hawaii could find a long-form birth certificate for Senator Obama that had been issued by a Hawaii hospital at the time of his birth."

"I can go get my long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate," Adams told a reporter. "And so I don't understand. This whole controversy should have been settled three or four years ago in about five minutes."

As to the "Certification of Live Birth" issued by the State of Hawaii, it doesn't prove a thing, according to Adams.

"Certifications of Live Birth were given to people who were born at home, or to people who were born overseas and whose parents brought them back to the islands," Adams said. "If his parents were U.S. citizens, or if one parent was a U.S. citizen, as was the case with Obama, the family would apply for a Hawaiian birth certificate when the parents came back from overseas. That's normally how you would have gotten one in the 1960s."

So, is Barack Obama eligible to be president of the United States?

We hate to break this news to the conspiracy theorists. They have brought up a significant political problem for Obama but not a constitutional one. Yes, Obama is eligible.

Barack Obama's mother was an American citizen. That makes Barack Obama a "natural born" American citizen, regardless what country he might have been born in.

Certainly, a confirmation that Obama was born on Kenyan soil would be a political bombshell, but only because he's been swearing that he wasn't. Americans don't like their presidents to lie (unless it's Bill Clinton, who received a pass even after committing perjury in the Monica Lewinsky affair).

In fact, none of this business about birth certificates changes Obama's constitutional eligibility for the office of president. So let's move on. Put the question of compliance with the Constitution behind us.

Meanwhile, we're with Trump: We still want to see Obama's original long-form birth certificate. It should be easy to get. We wouldn't be surprised to find that somebody already got it.

I can point you to some real history! The Honorqlbe John Bingham’s testimony for the constitutional amendment he co- wrote and is considered the father of, the 14th Amendment, in which he clearly describes a Natural Born Citizen a’s being born under the SOLE JURISDICTION of the United States!! That means no other nationality is involved, or in other words, both parents are citizens and the child was born here!!!

Thank you GOD for most this amazing day !!!

Now..... FINALLY(!)... after almost 2.5 years (!) we can get to the real issue which makes OholyO ineligible!!!!!! His British citizenship he inherited from his father AT BIRTH!!! YES!!!!!

. He renounced his U.S. citizenship.

There is some question as to whether parents can renounce a child's citizenship on his behalf. However, what is known about his father and his mother is that he never was a natural born citizen in the first place even though he might have been a citizen. ie; Father a British subject and mother too young to pass on her right to citizenship at the time. Where he was born is immaterial IMHO. He could have been born in the Lincoln bedroom and still not been a NBC. These points were well placed in the thinking of Pelosi and Reid during the run up to the election as they weaselworded the certification of his candidacy in an attempt to circumvent the existing rules. More is to be heard on this and other issues surrounding this usurper. Kate Smith is still in the green room warming up.

“I think it’s Agenda driven Deliberate ignorance.”

How about 0b0z0 defenders on both sides. Amazing that we could ban a person from serving in our military decades ago up to now if they didn’t show a legal certificate of birth.

Then even with a legal certificate of birth, if one parent was a foreign national, they could join the military as long as they were not exposed to any classified data until they became America citizens. Even then, in many situations their exposure to classified data probably would not have been higher than confidential.

Yet the Defenders of Obozo have no problem with him being the POTUS with clearance to everything now, in the past and in the future as long as he is POTUS.

RE: 2nd COLB

From a poster at The Smoking Gun:

Try the following: Save off a copy of the exact PDF file the White House has released as Obama's birth certificate this morning. Find yourself a copy of Adobe Illustrator (not Photoshop), and load up the PDF file in Illustrator. Then click on the center of the image of the birth certificate, then right-click on the center of the image, and click Release Clipping Mask. Have fun...

State Department wants to make it harder to get a passport.
Consumer Traveler.com ^ | April 22, 2011 | Edward Hasbrouck

If you don’t want it to get even harder for a U.S. citizen to get a passport — now required for travel even to Canada or Mexico — you only have until Monday to let the State Department know.

The U.S. Department of State is proposing a new Biographical Questionnaire for some passport applicants: The proposed new Form DS-5513 asks for all addresses since birth; lifetime employment history including employers’ and supervisors names, addresses, and telephone numbers; personal details of all siblings; mother’s address one year prior to your birth; any “religious ceremony” around the time of birth; and a variety of other information. According to the proposed form, “failure to provide the information requested may result in … the denial of your U.S. passport application.”

The State Department estimated that the average respondent would be able to compile all this information in just 45 minutes, which is obviously absurd given the amount of research that is likely to be required to even attempt to complete the form.

It seems likely that only some, not all, applicants will be required to fill out the new questionnaire, but no criteria have been made public for determining who will be subjected to these additional new written interrogatories. So if the passport examiner wants to deny your application, all they will have to do is give you the impossible new form to complete.

It’s not clear from the supporting statement, statement of legal authorities, or regulatory assessment submitted by the State Department to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) why declining to discuss one’s siblings or to provide the phone number of your first supervisor when you were a teenager working at McDonalds would be a legitimate basis for denial of a passport to a U.S. citizen.

There’s more information in the Federal Register notice (also available here as a PDF) and from the Identity Project.

You can submit comments to the State Dept. online at Regulations.gov until midnight Eastern time on Monday, April 25, 2011. Go here, then click the “Submit a Comment” button at the upper right of the page. If that link doesn’t work for you, it’s probably a problem with the javascript used on the Regulations.gov website. There are alternate instructions for submitting comments by email here.

If you wasted 2.5 years, it´s because you chose to. His father´s nationality has been known for several decades.
