As was pointed out to me a couple of years ago, not only do gas stations need to make money on gasoline, they also have to pay for the next tank of gasoline.
It’s all well and good for a gas station to make $.50 per gallon on a tank that cost them $3.00/gal to fill. But, if the next tank costs $3.75/gal, it’s going to be a problem.
Exactly,
I am routinely amazed on how many, even those that normally vote Republican and get turned off by Dem class warfare, are so fast to invent their own crazy ideas on how small business owners do and should run their businesses. They seem to have no idea why we have a free pricing system, and they talk like democrats about price fairness, all when they dont like the price of gasoline.
I always suggest they buy a gas station or buy oil futures if it's so easy. But it's much easier to have no risk and complain.
If Republicans were smart they would tell seniors that Democats are the one’s responsible for the rising prices as this article suggests, and beat on it over and over.
