Big Labor: Can a union that workers voted out and a government agency with an anti-business agenda tell America's largest exporter in which state it can create jobs? Is this revenge for Wisconsin?
Hell hath no fury like unions whose power is being challenged, and unions are not happy after Gov. Scott Walker's victory for democracy over angry union mobs in Wisconsin and similar moves by governors in other states such as John Kasich's Ohio. They want their pound of capitalist flesh.
So they, in the form of the International Association of Machinists, have called upon their wholly owned subsidiary, the National Labor Relations Board — whose job it is to bully business on labor's behalf — to file a complaint against Boeing for expanding into the right-to-work state of South Carolina.
"We absolutely will not accept the bullying. This is a direct assault on right-to-work states," South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley told National Review Online. "I want to ask (President Obama) why he is allowing unelected bureaucrats to come in and do the unions' dirty work on the backs of our businesses."
The answer is simple: This is not about jobs or even workers' rights. It's about creating more union jobs to pay dues, money that can be spent electing Democrats.
The NLRB complaint alleges that Boeing wants to build its new 787 Dreamliner in North Charleston, S.C., instead of at its Puget Sound facility in Washington state in retaliation against the International Association of Machinists for strikes such as a two-month-long work stoppage in 2008 that cost the company $1.8 billion.
The IAM filed its complaint in March 2010. But while charging retaliation, it could not demonstrate any harm. The facility in South Carolina is new and takes no pre-existing jobs away from Puget Sound.

If I was Boeing, I’d go that route offer it to the Canadians..., tie this all up for 2 years until we throw Obozo out of office. Throw him and his socialist pig tugs curve ball after curve ball and tie them up in court....
Boeing may just call it quits in the state of Washington.
They’ve considered it before, and this would give them the little shove to move on to a better business climate.
Frankly, I hope they do. It will put a stake right through the heart of The Peoples Republic of Seattle/Tacoma.
I remember a billboard in Seattle when their SST contract went south. It read, “will the last person out of Seattle, please turn out the lights!”
Fine then. Build those planes in China, just like the union wants.
If Boeing had any balls whatsoever, it would have “Dixie” playing on a loop in the background every time they had a meeting with another Union thug up in Seattle.
These union retards aren’t going to understand that Boeing didn’t move its corporate headquarters to Chicago for the weather, until it’s too late.

You’re kidding , right? Canada is the socialist beacon for the liberals. Heck, I;m from there. The CAW makes the UAW look like choir boys and almost kicked out Ford but managed to tie the F series to be made in canada. The doctors and nurses in every province is more militant than any SEIU rally, and have been known to rally even during surgery times. My GF was from the powerful BC Nurses Union and got tired of the politics. Every facet of the provincial and federal government is union-friendly and they would make sure that their contracts are tied up until eternity.
This is gonna cost for friends and family here in Washington but I hope that they do too.
.. and the ChiCom-controlled unions in Red China are having "our" unions do whatever it takes to get Boeing to offshore what's left of the company here moved to Red China to join what's already there. I bet.

I was a member of this union when I worked for The Milwaukee Road railroad. Had to be to work there. That railroad no longer exists.

...BTW....what would the US look like if the unions hadn't run all the manufacturing business out of the country? Maybe we would have a 30 trillion economy instead of 13 trillion...

Boeing is between a rock and a hard place.Gubmint contracts and trying to expand in right to work states.Guess they will have to wait till Sarah Palin is president to expand.None of the rest of the candidates will go up against the unions.
The Air Force Tanker issue was about having a Boeing tanker made in America.
Unions will result in Boeing aircraft no longer made in the USA either.
