Donald Trump may be leading a wide field of potential Republican presidential candidates in the polls, but he has little chance of actually reaching the White House, a new poll showed Tuesday.
Some 64 percent of general election voters -- including 46 percent of Republican voters -- would "definitely not vote for" the reality television star, according to a USA Today/Gallup survey. That was the second-worst showing by any potential Republican candidate, behind only former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who 65 percent of the voters said they would not consider voting for.
Fifty percent of voters, including 31 percent of Republicans, said Trump would be a "poor" or "terrible" president.Trump has shot to the top of the primary polls in recent weeks. A series of surveys, including one from Gallup, showed him leading among Republican voters over other presumptive candidates such as former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
He has been buoyed by tough talk on international economic issues and his persistent questioning of President Barack Obama's birth certificate, an issue that has been avoided by nearly all mainstream Republican politicians.
The poll Tuesday showed that Trump himself has not escaped scrutiny as to where he was born. Only 43 percent of voters said Trump was definitely born in the US, and 7 percent said he definitely or probably was born in another country. Only 38 percent of those surveyed said Obama was definitely born in the US

43%. Gives an idea of the kind of people they polled.
Can't say "Shot".
Jamaica hospital?
See????? Trump wasn’t born here either!!!!!
Is Trump a “natural born citizen”? Had his mother become a US citizen by the time he was born?
NObama would never agree to it in a million years, even if it came to Trump becoming the Repub. candidate and Obama was 30 points ahead in the polls, he would never do it because he knows Trump would absolutely obliterate him within the first 30 seconds. NObama would be like Ralph Kramden “Homina homina homina”
They want him to go away and they’re trying to discourage him.
LOL! Ya mon, he is a Rasta mon.
Right now Trump is the only guy out there raising salient points and kicking The One’s butt.
The other candidates need to grow a pair.
Perhaps Enola Gay will announce her candidacy..that would be a blast.
Trump is at least entertaining. And he has some stones. Unlike the majority of the Republicans.
But, even though I like what Trump is doing I remember back when. When what you ask? I’ll tell you.
I recall a voice. An excited and shrill voice. It is saying “OK, here’s da deal!” or “Can eye tawk Larry? Can eye tawk?” or “A alligator ain’t a hand bag! It is sooo simple! Simple!”
I’m sure you get the point:)
I will be happy to watch Trump throw mud at Barry for a few months and then I will be happy to vote for Michelle Bachmann!
In Obotulism we already have the by-product of the reality TV culture in the White House. We cannot do any worse than this diseased piece of rhinocerus pizzle that occupies our WH. Take out the trash America! We can do alot better than the current crop of political class as they are manipulating the news to make themselves the only ones who are qualified. They are all obsolecent and need to be fired.
Nice observation!
Nice observation!
Yes she had. But I don’t think the Trump family grifted global travel, school tuitions, housing, food, and college-law school tuitions quite like the disfunctional global cabal that is the Obamawamma clan?
Donald Trump will never be President of the United States. If he actually runs in the Republican primaries his past support of things like socialized health care, massive wealth taxes, etc, will do him in.
Donald Trump can only remain relevant if he decided to go 3rd party. If he did that he’d be guaranteeing Obama’s re-election since he would end up siphoning off some of the anti-Hussein vote. If he does go 3rd party, watch the mainstream media go from criticizing him to providing some level of support since they know it will hurt Republicans and help keep Obama in office.
The birther stuff will not be an issue in 2012. It’s interesting to chit chat about on forums, but Hawaii is not going to ever release anything further and there will never be any concrete evidence BHO wasn’t born here. The American people will not be going to the polls to vote over short versus long form birth certificates, they will be voting mostly on the economy and pocket book issues. If the economy improves a lot, we will need a great candidate who can run an excellent campaign. If the economy is still in the doldrums, even some of our second tier candidates would have a shot. Personally, I think either Palin or Bachmann are our best options a this time - but no matter who our nominee is (and it won’t be Trump), they will not be making an issue out of birth certificates.
I don’t think I’d vote for John Bolton either, but I like the fact he is bringing some national security and diplomacy issues to the tabke. Same with Trump, except Trump may be the only humanoid on God’s Green Earth has has the stones, the money, and the resources to become a legitimate person with “standing” in a court of law regarding the NBC issue(s). The arena of ideas is wide open and more folks should make an appearance.

Trump could not win a debate against Sponge Bob Squarepants...with all due respect to Mr. Squarepants.
