Good Mornin'!

Just sent my admittedly small donation to FR and noticed that Pennsylvania is in the top 5 donating states. IIRC it's almost ALWAYS in the top 5.

Also WI was way up there along with OH and some battleground states.

I hope that's a good sign!

Meanwhile the ice is getting ready to break on the Tenana river in Nenana Alaska!

Why am I excited?

Check here Nenana Ice Classic.

The jackpot this year is 0ver $338,000! Last year I picked April 29th and missed the time by 4 hours. This year I have the 27th, the youngest son has the 29th, and Mrs p6 has May 2nd and 5th.

I'm probably out but the other dates are looking good! Ice is down to 39 inches thick and temps are up.

If we hit Mrs p6 says I can go to Nenana...not sure if she'll go though, LOL!

morning!

I just sent this to my e-mail list:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42612638/ns/business-your-retirement

I’m stocked up on coffee. Just bought more soap and bought an extra container of cocoa on the last trip to Sam’s Club. Time to get more toilet paper before the prices go up even more!

Good Mornin'!

Wow Jim just scared the poo out of me when he mentioned that Walter Williams wrote and article claiming Hussein is a shoo-in to 2012!

I'm glad he explained it was a hoax! I almost fell off my chair!

I’ve been a monthly donor for the last six or seven years. I donate $15.00 a month. It’s a regular ‘bill’ in my budget now!

Checked out the Nenana Ice Classic. You dirty rat! Why didn’t you tell the rest of us about it so we could get in on the betting? (Just kidding, of course!)

Good luck to the p6 family! I hope one of yunz wins!

Dittos that on the coffee. The price of my regular brand has gone through the roof. Another brand went on sale for half of my brand costs, I bought one to try it out - it works - and I stocked up on that. Of course, once I did, another acceptable brand went on sale $1.50 cheaper than what I just got on sale. *rolling eyes*

We were discussing how much coffee we use per a 12-cup carafe. Sounds like I’ll have coffee long after others burn through theirs. Not big on strong coffee...Oh!, that reminds me...

LOL! This is tickling my funny bone. Part of the problem with our discussion was we couldn’t agree on what “a scoop” is. I gave my brother his scoop and have more like it from protein powders I get. So just measured out coffee.

I use almost a 1/4 c of coffee per carafe. It’s not quite half of what my brother uses. He’s using over half a cup of grounds. (No wonder his coffee is like motor oil.) Our friend says she uses “a lot of coffee” at possibly 1/8 c of grounds.

It's still 39 inches thick?! Whoa! What the heck is it in the dead of winter??

That's pretty cool! You'll have to remind us next year.

Here's the measurement log for this year.

2011 Official Nenana Ice Classic

2011
Date Ice Thickness

8-Feb 38.3 Inches
24-Feb 40.75 Inches
6-Mar 45.3 Inches
11-Mar 41.5 Inches
16-Mar 39.66 Inches
24-Mar 42.0 Inches
31-Mar 41.5 Inches
4-Apr 39.9 Inches
15-Apr 42.5 Inches
18-Apr 41.6 Inches
21-Apr 41.4 Inches
25-Apr 39 Inches Last measurement this year.

I've seen it well over 50 inches.

BTW speaking of coffee do you or sneakers or anyone else put some salt in with the grounds? Years ago the place I work always did that and it's become a habit with me.

Was considering coffee when Jim talked about it and missed it, I’ll check it out later. Trump mixing it up and people thinking he’s the next Reagan, though... boy, I seriously doubt that. I’m freaking out over another “Perot” factor.

50 inches! Geez, do you need a stick of dynamite to create an ice fishing hole? LOL!

I’ve heard of others putting salt in their coffee, don’t know the reason for it. Frankly, I have to cut back on sodium, my blood pressure demands it. (As noted this morning after our high sodium smelt fry last night. Fresh smelt, though - wow! yummy!)

Mr sneakers and I both like our coffee strong. That’s why I don’t drink the coffee at the office. My boss likes to drink water with a bit of coffee taste in it! We always stop at Sheetz in the morning. BUT, we’re getting a Dunkin’ Donuts in our town soon! Woohoo!!!

RINO, Perot factor whatever-—

First things first!

We need to unify behind Trump as the man to out Obama..let’s not dilute his ability to carry this out by sniping at him relentlessly NOW.

There will be TIME to hold Trump accountable as a viable candidate after Obama is exposed...you and others can go after him on every issue—and you should.

But Trump is our best shot to rip the glossy false mask off of the fraud Obama.

We do not want to lose this opportunity!

Shucks, I'm home and wanted to hear the clip Jim is playing about the union leadership training but our radio doesn't get good enough reception to hear it. I'll have to grab the Chumby and listen to Jim on that.

BTW yes Chumby DOES get the Q&R show as well as podcasts!

Same with HC's show!
