The press official, who asked not to be identified, said Gaddafi used the destroyed building for ministerial and other meetings. She said 45 people were injured, including 15 who were seriously hurt, and some were still unaccounted for after the attack.
On Sunday, the western Libyan city of Misrata came under heavy bombardment by forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi, a rebel spokesman said.
Government forces had retreated in the coastal city of Misrata after a siege of nearly two months and rebels fighting to overthrow Gaddafi had claimed victory there on Saturday
"The situation is very dangerous," rebel spokesman Abdelsalam said by telephone from"Gaddafi's brigades started random bombardment in the early hours of this morning. The bombardment is still going on. They targeted the city center, mainly Tripoli Street, and three residential areas."
The rebel spokesman said that NATO planes, which have been bombing Libyan positions for more than a month, had been seen flying over Misrata but there was no sign of air strikes.

Must be “protecting” the civilians who live next to the compound..
I didn't want it because there was no vital interest but Obama started it and now we need to do it properly.
We can get get at him. The USAF I mean, if the administration will allow it.
I really need help understanding this... why are we helping our Afghani amd Iraqi insurgents who are fighting Ghadaffi? I know this administration wants to do everything opposite to Bush, but this is way over the top!
From where I sit, all I see is Obama solidifying the Egyptian gains for the MB and using the Libya fiasco as a side show to redirect attention from the real show.
I find myself rooting for Ghadaffi.
We know what Ghadaffi is. We do not know the rebels, but
most likely they are, or will become part of, the radical 9/11 Muzies that are Hellbent on destroying the USA.
As I have said in other post... Better to deal with the devil you know, then the devil you do not know.
As for “NATION BUILDING”, that is Marxist code speak
for Communist empire building.
“I really need help understanding this... why are we helping our Afghani amd Iraqi insurgents who are fighting Ghadaffi?”

Because Obama is the friend of our enemies.
It is really that simple.
"We're not trying to kill Mohamar. Really! It was just an errant shot."
"Peace out, Bros!"
Amen! And this should give everyone who hasn't bought a clue yet an idea who the rebels are.
And of course who else would support that but someone who has armed muzzie terrorists before?
Screw that. We don’t need that kind of “success”. The only success is to follow what Reagan did in Beirut and get out.
This will not turn out good for Obama and NATO but we all knew that just going there wasn't going to turn out well.
We STILL don't know what our national objective in Libya is... what is the "it" we'd be doing?
And if Gaddafi is taken out... then what?
I do, too. In the insane world of muslim countries, when you don't know the devil who lies in wait, you're best off going with the devil you know.
The Libyan conflict was never our fight... we're committing treasure, and soon lives, for al-Qaeda. I'm not seeing an improvement in our position through these actions.
We need to get out of Libya... today.
You did notice the source - Debka! Make up a story and spin it! You’ll believe anything if you fall for a Debka story.
Here are two separate sources for you.
