“Why should we call McDonalds?”
...because their employees did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to create a safe environment for all their customers. Was this a McDonald’s policy of not interfering or merely hiring people with no instinct to protect another human being.
This is a cultural problem, not an issue of corporate policy. Their employees DO have have some personal responsibility, I doubt seriously they were in fear of violating any non-interference dictates of their employer, and likely were not even aware of them.
Rein in the trial lawyers and then McDonalds may begin to be able to act appropriately.
I’m not a McDonald’s, but as a business owner (and a healthcare provider), I have a very large trial lawyer target on my ass.
Sad to say, but productive entities have to play defense these days.
