“McCain travels to Libya to meet with rebel forces”

Any chance they’ll keep him?

I am beginning to think McCain being Obozo’s opponent was not an accident, and just two years ago that statement would have had me looking for the tin foil for my new hat.

Naw, there were a lot of FReepers who called him a Manchurian Candidate and Michael Savage called him a Manchurian Candidate. The only people who actually believed that McCain was a real candidate were the country club republicans.

We had no real choice! We had Romneycare, Rudy, Ron Paul, and Huckabee!!! I will sadly admit that I voted for Romney in the IL Primary because I believed that he (and I still do) had the best chance of beating Obama.

I KNEW how dangerous Obama was. I met him in 2005 at a GWB event. Everyone was talking to Blago, no one was by Obama so I got about 10 minutes of one on one time with him. Got his autograph. I was honest and told him I did not vote for him for Senate, he said "That's fine, my job is to convince you that I am the right guy for the job." <--- marxist propaganda.

Remember folks we had a good candidate named Jack Ryan (husband of Jeri Ryan the actress). He won the primary and then suddenly a bunch of sex files were released on him so the repubs tossed him out. Then they got a carpetbagger named Alan Keyes. I respect Alan Keyes but he had no business running in our Senate Election, if I said otherwise I'd be a hypocrite because I said Hillary had no business running in New York.

There were plenty of people we could have replaced Jack Ryan with but they chose a carpetbagger from Maryland who had zero name recognition in Illinois. Hell, even ex-Governor Jim Edgar could have easily beaten Obama!!!

But no, the repubs put in Alan Keyes and Obama won with over 70% of the vote!!! I know there are a few Keyes worshipers on this website, but he gave us Obama. And you want to know what I told Obama? "I didn't vote for your opponent either, I voted for Mike Ditka."

After my meeting with Obama I called my mom who is now deceased and told her that I met the next President... This was August 2005.

Note the silence on who the “rebels” are and what are their long term goals. In Obaba’s New Eygpt,a hostile Islamic State ala Carter’s Iran is forming.

Obaba trying to do to all the Middle East, what Carter did to Iran.

I am in favor of his trip — it’s even worth spending the taxpayers’ money for his ticket, as long as it’s ONE WAY.

Im sorry but if these rebels have Al Queda membership then any aid and comfort we give them is sedition and treason and is punishable by death.

The Republicans didn’t “put” Keyes in that race. Nobody else wanted to run.

And it certainly isn’t Alan Keyes’ fault that Jack Ryan liked watching other men have sex with his wife. That’s what gave us Obama.

Yo Arizonans—Does McCain ever return to Arizona? And if he does does he make any meaningful attempt to connect with voters there?

He occasionally allows a phone interview with Barry Young in the morning, where Young tap dances around him, genuflects and kisses his ring.

those old Tarzan movies are great...I love when they would take the errant white guy who had wandered into hostile tribal bone in the nose camp and they would hoist him up on two tall poles and the crowd would pull the hapless “colonialist exploiter” apart

what an ingenuous way to kill someone in say the Congo of the backlot of MGM

Hey, they are both funded by Soros so they might as well keep it in the family.

Bipartisanship at it's finest.

Why the disconnect between policy on unrest in Iran or Syria and policy on unrest in Libya? Perhaps they want to make Libya more like Iran and Syria.

Ol’ Moammar is gettin’ old and lazy.

He and his kids are more interested in enjoying the wealth they have stolen from their people. They still may talk the talk but they no longer walk the walk when it comes to radical islamic terrorism.

Younger, more aggressive leaders are needed.

You don't remember the race then because the IL GOP Combine wanted a black candidate and it came down to Keyes who wasn't from IL and a black woman that I can't remember but she was a nobody.

I am sure that someone in this state would have run, why does Dick Durbin always have an opponent even though he is a shoe in? I don't recall any statewide elections that have been unopposed.

The combine wanted Obama as Senator.

Ditka was considered the candidate but pulled out because the Obama / Combine team had some vicious dirt on him so he vanished without a trace.

They let Jack Ryan win knowing they had dirt on him. They held the dirt until the summer when it would be impossible to have a special election.

So the decision on a candidate was left to the IL GOP / Combine. And they chose Alan Keyes, a person that had probably 5% name recognition in Illinois.

I respect Alan Keyes, I am with him on the issues but he was the worst candidate I've ever seen the repubs put up in this state.

I've worked politics in this state, I know how things work here. This was a complete set up by the combine to literally hand Obama the Senate seat.

It began by the IL GOP viciously attacking Senator Fitzgerald to the point where he retired because it was impacting his family.

Peter Fitzgerald would have trounced Obama! He was well liked in this state, but the Combine didn't like him because he was a conservative so they threw him under the bus and decided Obama was the man to go with.

The three other people I pinged can verify this to you. They are IL Political experts.
