Trump Flashback: Reagan Was A "Con" Man Who Couldn’t "Deliver The Goods"

Anyone shocked? Me neither.

Furthermore, are you shocked that on Hannity the other night, Trump expressed how much he liked Reagan. Below the video, you will see an excerpt from his 1989 book, Art of the Deal.

And as a direct result, California, with all its oil (more than Oklahoma) and resources and advantages is pursuing the false good of the erdgeist and mandating a phony “green economy” so as to become our Greece.

First we must eliminate Trump as a potential candidate, then we can vote for True Conservative candidates...except that there aren’t any. But don’t let that deter us, Trump must go even if it cost us the election.

In his book “Think Big and Kick Ass in Business and in Life” (published in ‘07, at a time when a Presidential run wasn’t really something he was discussing) he says “I was more into the Ronald Reagans of the World” when discussing Carter’s failings.

I don’t see the words “con man” in your clipping from his book, either.

He went on in “Think Big and Kick Ass in Business and in Life” to say that Jimmy Carter was better as an ex-President than a President. Aside from his more recent senile ramblings during Obama’s campaign, I’d say this is true.

I remember a sizable portion of such dunderheads were calling for liberal idiot Scott Brown to be President of the United States of America after he won in Mass.

You don't hear much from them any longer, but they were all over the place not too long ago.

I didn't forget. Many also wanted Jan Brewer on a ticket too.

Here’s the situation:

Mr. Bohener is sitting in his chair crying.

The Republicans are wishing upon a star that Barney Frank invites them to his next dinner party.

And Mr. Trump is throwing jabs, uppercuts and body blows at the enemy.

So far I like what I see from Mr. Trump.

Who are idiots?

People considering (I emphasise this word, we’re ALL vetting him) supporting a man who has already aired out all his skeletons (thanks to the media), with the ability to communicate, who is able to sell himself, and has the ego and confidence to match up to the greatest con man to ever become President?

Or - people supporting a fine and decent woman who associates herself with Senator Amnesty, has negatives higher than anyone else running (except perhaps Newt), and has been borked so badly she has no prayer of ever winning the general election?

I’m not really sold on anyone. However, I’m enjoying Trump because he’s making people talk about issues that need talked about. Yes, he has some explainin’ to do.

The “Sarah or Bust” attitude at FR is going to rip this entire place apart. We have GOT to stop this.

So far I like what I see from Mr. Trump.

Me too, even if he doesn't have "Conservative" tattooed to his chest.

To be fair, in ‘87, although Reagan was still overall popular, it was a weird time - after the good stuff of his first term happened, but before any of the really good effects of his second term kicked in.

Trump is Trump. He’s one of those guys that could honestly in his heart consider you his friend, but will still point out your faults to your face. It’s how he is.

I do have many questions and we do have to vet this guy, but can’t we just enjoy the show, let him decide what he wants to do, and then go from there?

Even if the nominee ends up being Palin, or Huckabee, or Cain (dreaming!), or, blech, even Romney, Trump’s presence may ultimately help them.

I like what I see from Trump too. I really like his calling out China and how he correctly identifies how China is ripping off America. This is while both parties (Dems and Repubs) try to tip toe around the China issue. I am also fond of his position on making these oil rich countries we have rescued pay us back for our services. Those two ideas alone get Trump my vote.

They were. Absolutely.

However, when Trump talks, people listen. When conservative politicans who aren’t The Establishment talk, the media either shuns them, or ignores them.

Trump is forcing the media to pay attention to Palin and Bachmann more too.

Good question. It is early in the 2012 election cycle so maybe he is building his foundation and political support. He has been a fixture at Tea Party events. I share his op-eds, videos, etc... with family, friends, contacts to show that there are other candidates besides the ones the MSM and networks are discussing. I also remind them this isn’t an audition for “The Apprentice” nor “American Idol” it is the most important election for our country’s future. One that needs to once and for all kick the progressive/communist/democrat political ideology and their menions to the dust bin of mistakes and history. I remember this time in 2007 no one was talking about Obamabi nor McClaim so there is still time to have Mr. Cain heard.

I like what I hear from him and other conservatives who are not part of the DC Beltway cocktail set.

Priority #1 is getting Zero out and fixing the economy.

Mr. Trump, despite his foibles, is uniquely qualified since he’s a consummate businessman and not a lawyer or from the beltway.

What’s more, Mr. Trump loves America, zero does not.

The other GOP candidates have virtually no chance of winning and aren’t aggressive enough. Should they win they’ll acquiesce to the media and just play footsie with Barney Frank like they have been since January.

If Palin’s the nominee - I’d vote for her happily and wouldn’t have to shower afterwards (can’t say that for others...)

I’d just love to see a real strategy to FUND her campaign...and figure out how she’s going to beat the Obama machine when independent voters as a whole dislike, even “fear” her (as ridiculous as that is.)
