Following the political debut of daughter Ivanka earlier this week on Hannity, Donald Trump dropped by Larry King Live to talk the topic du jour, Arizona’s immigration law, and give it his seal of approval. While he admitted that “there are a lot of great people coming in,” he called a boycott on the state “ridiculous” and made the astute observation that, well, “Mexico doesn’t have a lot of blonds.”
Trump expressed the most concern regarding the increased crime rate in Arizona, noting that there are “killings all over the place, shootings all over the place” there now and that the law was a direct result of “the federal government not coming out with a law.”
He also expressed dismay at the possible boycotts against Arizona, including that instituted on San Francisco city officials by Mayor Gavin Newsom. And while he stopped short of endorsing racial profiling, he is in favor of “getting them out” if “people come into the country illegally.”
okay..whatever.
He may be; but he is saying what needs to be said.
FYI, I just rewatched the Meredith interview, and there’s no immigration mentioned in that, at all, so that’s not it. I’ll review the rest of the BOR Interview to see if I can find it there, to see if they came back to it.
In any event, I will try and find where I heard him talk about what cripple mentioned, but it may take some time. He’s been in the news constantly for the last few weeks, so I have seen a lot of clips.
(And I do remember him saying it, FOR SURE, because I am ADAMANTLY opposed to amnesty, to those who break into our country, pillage our cities, steal our identities, and then ship our resources back to their own countries, to bring more here to sap off of our society, while trying to destroy it. If they’re so hard working they should build their own country, not sink ours to their level. We need to ship everyone back, funded by a liquidation of their ill gotten assets—there’s not supposed to be profit in committing a crime in this country, remember?—build a wall, and “deter” anyone who tries to come across it, except by lawful, honest means, with lethal force. That’s MY position on illegal immigration. Oh yeah, and send their anchor babies with them, that’s a perverted interpretation/manipulation of the reading of the law.)
He couldn't be any worse than Obama.

Yes, that was my conservative interpretation, of a liberal point of view and one which I stand by. But to call it misrepresentation, is spreading misinformation, FRiend. The term "broad based" is used extensively in the business world and Trump is very familiar with that term. Lets face it, Trump does not embrace "narrow based" business practices. You think Trump would embrace narrow based political practices?
Trump is also not known as a conservative businessman. His multiple bankruptcies, hostile takeovers and use of eminent domain to advance his empire mark Trump as a ruthless corporatist and IMO, a liberal business wildcat of sorts.
On a political level, Trump is well known for his flip-flopping on views and obfuscation of the historic record when it comes to his own past. I believe what Trump was saying is that he would support broad based amnesty, if his own liberal caveats were applied.
My remarks about what Trump said to O'Reilly were correct. In fact, your remarks looked very similar to my remarks. And I do agree with you, Trump's position is "PURE FANTASY".

You know, Utah passed an “Arizona-style immigration law” too, and any number of Republican politicians used the issue to get themselves elected, and then when the time came to pass the promised “Arizona-style immigration laws,” the GOP strangely shot them down in at least half a dozen states.

IMO, that opinion total BS. I have seen headlines on the net that say that Trump is not for amnesty but what he said on FoxNews says otherwise (even though he was careful enough not to use the actual word AMNESTY but if it walks like a duck...).
If you are an illegal alien you should be deported PERIOD end of story, no ifs, ands or buts. By the simple fact that they are here illegally is PROOF that they are UNTRUSTWORTHY CRIMINALS.
1) Because being here illegally is being here illegally regardless of the “reason”.
2) Giving amnesty for ANY is a slap in the face to ALL USA citizens, BORN & PROPERLY NATURALIZED & ALSO to ALL those foreigners that DO come here PROPERLY to visit, work or to emigrate.
IMO, ANYBODY that is for AMNESTY for ANY illegal alien is a TRAITOR to the USA & hence they themselves are UNTRUSTWORTHY, period end of story & that includes Trump. And YES BTW, I DO ESPECIALLY include in that category Ronald Reagan b/c of the 1986 amnesty that was AND IS a HUGE contributor to the massive problem we have now in the amount of illegals from many countries INCLUDING Canada & Ireland etc BTW. I say DEPORT ANY & ALL that we can catch & ARM ALL border protection not just the southern border.
