We've all heard about Obama and his Democrats who have set up a government that DESTROYS America to the tune of 3.7 Trillion dollars a year. But did you know that...
To put that into context we have to look at all of the GREEDY American Corporations and how much money they make every year. According ot the CNN network, looking at the 2010 gross revenues of the Fortune 100 companies, the United States Governments swallows up the equivalent of ALL of the Top 33 largest companies in the United States combined. And that is QUITE an amazing accomplishment when you consider that every one of them is a global company and a significant amount of their revenue comes from outside of the United States. I wonder how many jobs THAT represents?

The answer to that is all too obvious.
We are witness to the end of national government. It has grown beyond its ability to sustain itself.
Unfortunately not enough real Americans exist with the stomach for the answers.
So then, with the end of “national” government do you mean the Democrats are turning us into the Third World Country that Obama says the Repubs want to make us?
Amazing GM always was bigger than Ford until Obama ran the company.
“after the U.S. Federal Government finishes DEVOURING the equivalents of America’s 33 largest companies..”
That’s only the gross revenues of the 33 largest companies.
The cost of Federal Government sucks off 25 percent of GDP, per year. To that, add the costs of State, local, sales, use, property and every conceivable tax scheme that must be paid. Government of all types is and has been out of control for decades.
Couple that with deficit spending. We are being sold into slavery. It must be stopped and those that won’t listen must be taken down.
I do not think so. It isd much more likely that federal government will decimate itself into what the founders proscribed, very limited and essentially incapable of growing into the leviathon it has become.
As a people we are not of a third world mentality. There is a significant segment of the population that has grown comfortable as serfs. They will be forced to work or not eat. The majority of our citizens are of much sturdier stock and will make this nation the shining city on a hill envisioned by Reagan.
What is meant by the term “greedy” when it comes to large corporations?
Isn’t making a profit what the stockholders and shareholders expect corporations to do? How many AMERICANS are employed (directly and indirectly) as a result of these corporations trying to make a profit?
Isn’t that what we would expect (and want) in an economic system based on capitalism? How many people share in the prosperity of those “greedy” corporations?
Arguably, some at the top of the food chain (CEOs, etc) make what some would consider “excessive” and I’m sure there are some who most might consider “greedy”. But if these folks think that the answer is for government to get involved in making decisions as to how much is “too much”, then they can be proud to be part of a liberty-destroying progressive/socialist movement. Count me out.
Just to be clear here, I used the term “GREEDY” as a “tongue in cheek” term. I was using it as an oxymoron compared to the size, scope, and insanity of government budgets and spending...
Oh, I knew that woodb01, I was just referring to the liberals who talk as though corporations who make a profit are, by their definition, “greedy”.
Sorry I didn’t make it clear that I wasn’t talking to you. Your article just made me think of how the left thinks (thinking leftist, oxymoron, I know) about corporate greed.
A great illustration of just out of control socialism is becoming in the United States.
