I know... that’s what I’ve been watching for the last two hours. That whole area around the Lowes looks like someone took a giant rake to it.

They got funnels dropping down all over,, folks need to be inside, not out driving around..

Raleigh, N.C. — North Carolinians need to be on the look out for fast-moving storms capable of producing long-lasting tornadoes Saturday afternoon and evening.

The tornado threat is greatest in Goldsboro and the storm is rapidly moving northeast at 50 mph. The storm is moving toward the Scotland Neck area of Halifax County.

The threat of severe weather has diminished in the west – in Lee, Moore and Chatham counties.

Most of central North Carolina is under a tornado watch until 9 p.m.
