DONALD CHUMP AND HIS SPIN (Mark Levin)
Mark Levin's Facebook Page ^ | April 16, 2011 | Mark Levin

Posted on 04/16/2011 8:57:04 AM PDT by Virginia Ridgerunner

Look how Chump operates. Caught red-handed now with his vicious attacks on George Bush, who most conservatives had issues with, he now says but for Bush there would have likely been no Obama. That may well be true. I have been a harsh critic of Bush's spending, including in my book. But Chump was calling Bush EVIL and demanded his IMPEACHMENT because of the Iraq war and in the middle of that war. He said Bush lied to get us into Iraq. His comments were vile and outrageous, not unlike the America-hating leftists who sought to undermine are armed forces there. Now he wants us to believe that his criticism of Bush was because Bush's poor record set the stage for Obama? Chump attacked Bush over Iraq because if you were a big-mouth, attention-seeking liberal, it was the thing to do. He had no altruistic or principled conservative motive for doing so at the time and expressed none.

As recently as last year, while conservatives and Tea Party activists were organizing and rallying against Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their radical agenda, Chump was helping to fund some our opponents. He contributed to left-wing, Tea Party-hating menaces like Chuck Schumer, Anthony Weiner, and Harry Reid. What about his contributions to Charlie Crist, while Crist was running against Marco Rubio? Did he donate to any of the Tea Party candidates? Did he contribute to the Tea Party movement in any way, with time or money, before today? Why not?

Chump also praised Nancy Pelosi. He thought she was great. I played the audio. I guess he was just mistaken, again. He supported universal health care, but not any more, of course. He supported abortion and gay marriage, but that was then, this is now. He supported John Kerry for president in 2004, but that's because Bush was so evil. He leaned on government officials to use eminent domain against a little old lady whose home happened to be in the way of a parking lot he wanted to build for one of his casinos in Atlantic City, but he has always been for private property rights.

So now Chump rails against China and demands Obama's birth certificate and we are supposed to swoon over the man. But when asked about the Ryan budget, he turns stupid again -- he says Ryan should not take the lead on this, we need a bipartisan consensus to move forward? And with whom do we build this bipartisan consensus? Reid? Obama? Is Chump really this dumb, or is he, once again, trying to figure out which way the wind is blowing?

Chump is a phony and dissembling. He called a hastily organized press event this morning because I, and others, are on to him.

TRENDING: Trump lashes out at George W. Bush and Obama

Today he is speaking at a local Tea Party rally. And why? Because now he wants our support, not because he supports us or our principles, or ever did. Chump is about Chump. And he thinks we're too stupid to notice. Are we?

Wow, listen to your blind defense. You don’t even read what I say. I never said anything about trump’s devotion to our constitution. I have no earthly idea. But he has called out the phony Obama! That is a good thing, even if trump were a Farrakhan follower! Trumps politics do not play a part of this right now! He is performing a service your heroes won’t do.

What, trump should also shut up because “the birther thing” is a NonStarter??? Are you out of your mind? You think it would be ok tofake your way into the white house? How is the potentially biggest scam ever done to the American people a frEaking Non Starter???

True, Levin has a career, and talk show hosts are not always able to keep the agenda of their shows 100% in line with constitutional conservatism. I’m not saying I know of an example where this applies to Levin, just that I’m aware the conflict is there sometimes for any radio personality.

I think it’s a fair bet to say Levin’s threshold for violating principle with dishonesty is likely to be significantly higher than Trump’s.

When you look at Trump compared to Levin, you have a guy whose entire life is devoted to selling a product based on fabricating appearance at the expense of truth.

Trump is a professional salesman whose record demonstrates he has never had an afinity for ideas, especially the ideas of our Constitution.

Most importantly, the idea of individual liberty as an unalienable right.

Hello???

You said, 'probably', which means you're assuming and speculating, hence, why don't you ask Levin yourself?

The Godless capitalist quickly becomes the enemy of all that is true and all that is right.

I can’t tell the difference between this and marxism.

“Sure, but your ride has no brakes whatsoever, and it’s a long way to the bottom.”

Bull. My “ride” is trump exposing Obama. It has a natural stopping point. Trump either delivers proof, rendering Obama castrated, or he doesn’t and the ride slides naturally to a halt and the 15 minutes of trump talk fades.

“Levin is having a temper tantrum because Trump didnt go on his show. How pathetic.”

He was on Hannity. Close enough. Did you see the interview? When asked about being “pro-life” he immediately changed the subject to the “death penalty.” I mean, immediately. That to me was very telling, and I wish Hannity would have backed him up and made him clarify.

Other than that, Trump really said nothing.

And if Trump doesn’t get the nomination he says he’ll run as an independent. And guarantees Obama wins. What a freaking hero. Mighty odd position for a guy who is supposed to be such an Obama basher.

I don't think one freepers dislikes Trump going after Obama. I love it. But I also know that is NOT a qualification to anoint him the GOP nominee, esp. when people are ignoring his past- in the very same way liberals and the MSM did with Obama.

Haven't we learned from Romney, Arnuld, McCain, Brown, and every other conservative poser who slapped sugar on us then stabbed us in the back later?

That's a rather silly accusation. Trump's is RE developer. Everything he's sells are ideas...and then he has to build them.

I don't know what you know about real estate development, but only part of it is salesmanship. Most of it is economics and common sense...and Trump is quite good at all of it.

No one has brought up anything like trump vs levin. It’s apples vs oranges. Levin should at least appreciate what trump is doing to Obama, even as he tells us why trump would not make a good president. Many of us can separate the two.

Why is levin so upset over trump? Doesn’t he want to see if Obama was ever eligible?

After endorsing Hillary in the primaries...

...or maybe not.

Levin might be better served having Karl Rove as a guest, they certainly seem to be on the same page when it comes to Trump and Obama’s questionable past.

If he is the liberal (*gasp* Marxist) that many on this thread accuse him of being, he would take more support from Obama, wouldn't he?

Either that, or Trump opens the door for Hillary.

Or Trump runs third party, and opens the door for Obama.

The fact that Trump has a record of agreeing with both Obama and Hillary on major policy issues should slow your vehicle at least a little.

The only part of Obama policy Trump might not agree with is the part that says “Let’s actively destroy America.”

But Trump is blinded, by self absorption and personal gain, to the fact that even passive liberalism will eventually destroy our country.

The Levin-Savage-Trump connection:

Levin and Michael Savage compete for the same audience. They despise each other professionally. For example, Savage ridicules Levin’s voice (Grouch Marx).

I like them both, but each has a big ego and can be very petty.

The fact that Savage has recently interviewed and gushed over Trump is what most probably pushed Levin over the edge.

Not if he’s a good salesman.

The ideas I’m talking about are moral principles, and they are the only real subject of this debate.

Salesmanship, in and of itself, is independent of moral ideas. But the moral aspects of our Constitution are its most important, without which it dies.

I watched it and thought he did fine. He ‘says’ a heck of a lot more than politicians do, which is why his popularity is growing and Obama’s poll numbers are falling like a rock.

There is a lot about Trump that gives me pause but the fact that he says what he thinks, earns my respect. We don’t have a single politician on our side that does the same. They would rather play nicey-nice and concern themselves with politically correct speech.
