I don't know about anyone else but I'm getting tired of Donald Trump. I do not believe he is a 'serious' candidate for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination and the possibility of Trump 'going independent' worries me. Yes, he said he knows that would guarantee an Obama victory so he wouldn't do it...with the caveat "unless I thought I could win", meaning, unless he didn't think the actual GOP presidential nominee could win. Very subjective and, as I see it, a threat to the Republican party to nominate someone who meets Trumps approval. Because Donald Trump is a liberal New York Republican I'm concerned that he would view someone like, oh, say, Sarah Palin as 'unelectable' and so, in his view, justify Trump running for president as an independent, splitting the Republican vote and handing the election to Obama. That happens and we're totally screwed. If Obama was bad in his first four years, imagine how he would be knowing he can't run again and has only four more years to finish destroying America as we know and love it. Yes, Trump is bold. He takes the fight to Obama and that is refreshing but he could be dangerous in the long run and, frankly, I don't trust him and his newly unveiled conservatism. I hope Trump is just showboating but if he's serious, the GOP (and all of us) may have a problem.

“but if he’s serious, the GOP (and all of us) may have a problem.”

Hell we’ve got problems anyway. I hope he does run at least we can have some fun. I’d rather have Trump than say, Romney, Huck, McCain... I’d definitely vote for a Trump/Bachmann or Trump/Palin ticket.

I don’t know what I dislike more. A newly arrived Conservative that sounds like a bonifed Conservative, or an effing RINO who sounds like a Democrat.

I’m beginning to think the RINO’s are worse for the GOP than Trump.

Right now all we have are Romney, Huckabee and Gingrich. Until someone worthwhile steps up, let’s enjoy the battering he’s inflicting on the one.

He's serious and the GOP does have a problem, it has no leaders who can stand up to the Democrats and their MSM propaganda machine. The Republican leadership is weak, weak, weak, and the conservatives in the party are sick, sick, sick of it. Crybaby Boehners cave was the last straw.

Citizens are looking for leadership with GUTS and Trump is the only one who has demonstrated he has what it takes for a fight. A fight, not a Crybaby give away or Pawlenty, Romney, Huckaby pablum. We are fighting for the survival of this Country and we need a wartime General and no one has stepped forward except Trump. If he will battle for America like he says, I will give him my support.

Mark Levin tore him apart on his radio show. And he is right. Trump is a sideshow: he has never until a week ago supported the Tea Party, has given political contributions to Chucky Schumer, Weiner, et. al., and supported “universal healthcare”. Yea, he’s just shooting for publicity
