"Durbin said that if the Gang of Six wants to be relevant, it needs to make a proposal before Congress debates a debt-limit increase."

Whatever the Rat says, do the opposite.

White House to Gang of Six: Wrap up work on deficit-reduction plan

When you have no real intention of reducing the deficit, much less reducing the $14 Trillion debt, you can hurry things along.

Where is Barry's laser-like focus on jobs.

More jobs, more revenue.

Senate Democrats and the White House are pressuring Republican members of the Gang of Six to reach an agreement on a deficit-reduction package so it can be used as a credible alternative to the budget unveiled last week by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), according to Senate sources.

Can someone please inform me since when it was that the executive branch is in charge of the LEGISLATIVE branch? I must have forgotten that part of the Constitution.

And while we're at it, someone tell me where the SENATE...or a group of SIX senators therein, are given the responsibility for revenue-creating LEGISLATION.

See, 'cause the way I remember the Constitution, all bills for raising revenue MUST BEGIN IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. Isn't that in the Constitution?

While the Constitution may be just a piece of tissue paper to Hussein and his sycophant media, I suggest the rest of America take heed to it and pay attention.

The starting point should be Ryan's budget plan: the House of Representatives, being the CLOSEST to the PEOPLE, is the proper starting point.

A bipartisan Senate plan based on the recommendations of Obama’s fiscal commission would give Democrats powerful ammunition to resist the House-passed budget resolution.

It is all political posturing. The fact that three Rep senators would go along with this nonsense is revealing. Durbin is the most partisan senator in Congress. This is all a political ploy.

I never pay any attention to anything Turban Durbin has to say. Definitely one of the biggest idiots in the Congress.
