I’m not looking for a new Reagan, Reagan wasn’t perfect either. Have you forgotten that he ushered in the 1st amnesty sham? However, with that said, Trump has more Reaganesque American Patriot qualities than any other proposed possibility out there right now.

Although they have VERY different personalities, Trump does share a few key traits with Reagan:

-an unabashed love of his country
-belief in American Exceptionalism
-a belief in a strong defense

Ha! I see you're relatively new here. I love Ronaldus Magnus, but I'm also one of the few FReepers who critiques the "conservative purists" who would not elect even Reagan today not only because of Amnesty as you remember, but also for "Cutting and Running" from Lebanon, sold weapons to "muslim terrorists" and never did anything to reduce the number of abortions during his term.

And yet, we would have to agree that he's the greatest, most conservative president we've seen in our lifetimes, and likely ever will....not the least of which because of the splintering selfishness of conservatives who ignore Reagan's 11th commandment.

Reagan's 11th commandment kept him IN the GOP after Goldwater's defeat. Kept him in after the blue bloods rejected him in 76. Kept him in after they tried to yank his mic in 80. Kept him in when he hand-picked an anti-liberty NWO successor in HW Bush.
