Donald Trump Slams "Evil" Bush, Praises Obama [2008]
NY 1 ^ | 11/11/2008 | By: Dominic Carter

Posted on 04/14/2011 8:34:49 PM PDT by guitarplayer1953

"McCain, really, that was almost an impossible situation," said Trump. Bush has been so bad, maybe the worst president in the history of this country. He has been so incompetent, so bad, so evil that I don't think any Republican could have won."

While he had harsh words for the outgoing president, he had a much different opinion of President-elect Barack Obama.

"I think he has a chance to go down as a great president. Now, if he's not a great president, this country is in serious trouble," said Trump.

Trump is Schwarzenegger 2.0.

Trump is a flaming Liberal pretending to be a Conservative so he can cultivate a Cult of Personality in order to get himself elected. The minute he is elected, he will drop the mask.

Don't be fooled by the words Conservatives, look at Trumps deeds. Words are cheap, deeds matter

Yeah right...we shall see and you will be proven wrong on Trump. You can hope that Trump decides not to run because then one of your “winners” like Pawlenty, Romney or Huckster can get the Republican nomination

Seems the “great Conservative hero” Donald Trump is a Democrat plant after all.

*******************

I don’t see where anyone has called Trump a “great Conservative hero”. Anyway, nothing that a debauch in the Bohemian Grove would not set right with the ruminant republicans, and perhaps even the Party nomenklatura.

If it took us many decades to mount up this enormous debt, I don’t think it is possible or prudent to slash it around in a hurry. Trump eats, sleeps & lives in business world. Looks to
me like he has the same thinking as mine. A machete approach
could tank the stock market and then the economy.

On Hannity interview Trump said the best way to balance budget is grow the economy and stop losing Billions in foreign trade every year.

Donald Trump 2012 = Ross Perot 1992

Perot was a Republican presidential candidate in 1992?

I am not going to flame ANY republican contenders. Let them have a debate and whoever wins the nomination accorded by Republican VOTERS will get my vote in November.

The Kenyan Socialist will kill this country with 4 more years, but none running on the republican ticket will.

On the cheapness of words and the measure of deeds we can agree. This is the principal reason I regard the Democrats as the enemy at the gates, and the GOP as the enemy’s Fifth Column which opens the gates from within. Each and every time it matters.

Let the Republican voters decide who will be their nominee.
In the meanwhile I refuse to flame ANY contender as Reagan advised us to do. I will vote for whoever wins the nomination. Even Romney who is at the bottom of my list so far.

You nailed it with the Ross Perot analogy. He’s trying to slice off a portion of conservative votes by raising the birther issue, knowing that the Republican establishment won’t touch that issue. Even if he only takes 5% of the vote from the GOP, it will be enough to re-elect Obama. We won’t find out until after the election that he’s getting special business considerations from well connected Dems and/or the Fed.

Exactly my point. Trump hasn't declared as a Republican Candidate yet.

In fact Trump (read upthread) has said on Hannity that if HE thinks he can win and the GOP doesn't that HE WILL RUN as an independent just like Perot did.

Why don't you wait until May 15 when he said he will. Then, if he declares as an independent instead of a Republican, you can make the comparison with Perot's candidacy. If he declares as a Republican, your comparisons with Perot's run as an independent, against the Republican candidate, will be bogus.

Ask him now.

Last night he said that Obama did the impossible. He replaced Jimmy Carter as worst president in history.

Per DT, we are in serious trouble.

Let’s see who steps up to the plate before conservatives are lectured, again, to vote for “the lesser of two evils”.

What a load of BS and excuses.

Well, one man's BS is another's fertilizer I guess, However explanations and excuses are two different things. My point is that presidents aren't dictators; they cannot rule by fiat. Recall the fractious, contrary passel of subversives and wreckers who made up Senate and House when you assess his administration.

He ... told us we were bigots for opposing his open-borders policy.

I don't recall hearing this from him, could you refresh my memory? When and where did he say this?

He needed to do something dramatic at the end of his term...like retiring Cheney and promoting...conservative light...to help our election chances in 2008 ... paving the way for a sweeping Democrat victory on every level.

This remark is curious: first you damn him for being too liberal, and then for being too conservative.

While you're explaining that, maybe you can tell me why 'pub light champion Juan McCain lost the election?

...I stand by my original post...

Feel free to stand where you will but consider this advice: you're in quicksand.

And heres Commney on the issues:

The more you criticize Trump, the more likely it is Commney gets the nod. Trump had a good interview with CBN explaining his pro-life position. You should watch it. You’d learn something.
