Donald Trump Slams "Evil" Bush, Praises Obama [2008]
NY 1 ^ | 11/11/2008 | By: Dominic Carter

Posted on 04/14/2011 8:34:49 PM PDT by guitarplayer1953

"McCain, really, that was almost an impossible situation," said Trump. Bush has been so bad, maybe the worst president in the history of this country. He has been so incompetent, so bad, so evil that I don't think any Republican could have won."

While he had harsh words for the outgoing president, he had a much different opinion of President-elect Barack Obama.

"I think he has a chance to go down as a great president. Now, if he's not a great president, this country is in serious trouble," said Trump.

Trump thinks Hillary should be Commander in Chief.

I think Hillary gelded Trump some time ago, and now he acts according to her bidding.

I voted for Romney in the primaries last election but he’s not the guy. Trump’s attraction is that he says what we think he means without any thought of MSM retaliation. When the MSM repudiates him, he’s there the next day challenging their liberal allegations without fear or political posture.

I like that. Who else is doing this on the national stage?

If Trump is elected, which he probably won’t be, the best scenario I can see is that he takes down the MSM. Pisses China off. Gets the oil “fields” drilling wherever they are and rids us of OB care. And get the economy in line with the capitalist that he is. Lower taxes, less government, etc.

Won’t do crap on social issues per se. But will always stand up and contradict and expose the MSM when they start their typical and continuous assault on conservatives, night in and night out.
Don’t know if I’ll vote for him but he is the only dude who’s yanking Obama for what he is. His power is that he has the ability to get his views in front of millions of people almost immediately because of his persona and fame and he doesn’t really care what the libs think.

No wonder he’s ‘leading” the polls now. He’s refreshing.

Romney, McCain, Huckabee...all those guys from last election... they are out of my political equation.

We need someone new. Ryan, Trump, Bachman, Palin... Somebody that can connect with us conservatives and independents and sane dems.

Socialism is all fun and games UNTIL....

I wonder how Trump’s personally been affected by the Obama’s policies. What are the vacancy rates at his properties?

Is this about “getting even” for Obama snubbing Trump’s ballroom offer?

And you wonder why people don't take you seriously? Seriously, you don't?

Oh Mr. “Too big to fail” joke??? I voted for Bush twice, and I still regret it. Sorry no Bushbot here.

Bush was liberal, and he is the reason why we now have to deal with Obama. Sorry I don’t think that high of Bush. Anyone that does only thinks the following,

” Republican good.. Democrat bad” mentality.

They would not conservative from a liberal. At the time I can see why Trump thought that.

[ Come on, you're being a little harsh. He was the best President we had during his two terms. :-D ]

Bush added to and exacerbated the border problem..
Probably because he is a progressive like the Clintoons and Obama..
Oh!.... and John McLaim and Myth Romney.. and the Huckster..

Animal Farm wasn’t really about talking animals.

Bush was the ONLY President we had during his two terms, that being the joke. As in he wasn’t good, but he was the best one we had during his two terms...

Nevermind.

Many, many “conservatives” didn't vote in 2008. Voila, we have Obama today. Enjoy your milquetoast “front”, runners fellow Freepers. They don't have a chance against “sharp elbows” Liar in Chief Obama and his MSM minions.

Milquetoasts like Pawlenty and Romney don't have a chance. Huckster is embarrassing. Romney would be tolerable but he is used goods by now and his Massachusetts Romney-Care paved the way to Obama-Care. Sarah Palin has had her image ruined by the crazed leftists and their media goons
Only Donald T has a chance
All last year I was telling people that the Republicans need someone to run who is fresh and unexpected and that I thought and hoped that person would come along. He would appear because the chance to become President is a very powerful thing.....no matter how much that stinkin' Kenyan has disgraced the office

And does that make you a “Trumpette”?{ I think I coined a new word}.
Trump is a two faced weasel. And he couldnt even run a Casino without going craps out.
Trump would never tell the truth if the lie would suffice.

Yup, that's the reason people voted for Obama, because Bush was liberal and Obama wasn't.

How hard is it to see that only Trump can beat Obama. All politicians are shifty and you take a chance voting for any of them. So what’s the big deal about taking a chance on Trump? He loves to flatter people to disarm them. So he did this to Hillary and Chuckie Schumer and donated to their campaigns because he has to do business in NY State. Big deal. And Trump being on TV..... his talent agent is Rahm Emanuelle’s brother so he donated to Rahm Emanuelle. Big deal.

On TV last night Trump said he donated to Democrats because there are few Republicans in office in New York state. So he gave $2,000 here and there to curry favor with them. It is all business and the cost of doing business there

If bashing Bush marked one as a liberal, what would that say about folks around here? The only place I’ve seen MORE Bush-bashing is on DU.

If elected, The Donald will do everything in his power to increase the value of property (both his and ours), and increase the value of the US dollar (both his and ours). At this point in time, nothing else matters. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.

Its the headline on Drudge

Yeah, Drudge says "YESTERDAY". "Yesterday" isn't quite the same thing as "two years ago".

this is a non story and Drudge is using the dramatic headline for some cheap clicks. The statement is a couple years old and he qualified it with the now if he isnt a good president were in trouble quote. Its an opinion and nothing more and he has obviously changed his mind quite a bit since then.
