You need a subscription to read the whole thing, but that's not why I'm posting. By paragraph 2, this Bush insider already raises the specter of "responsible Republicans", and the "damage" that will happen if this question (by Trump) is not immediately shut down.

Wehner joins Rove and all of the usual suspects in an histrionic wail about all the damage that will follow such questioning, and how "irresponsible" it is.

The fact that all of these people are so afraid is the most convincing evidence that there's something to all of this. WHY ARE THEY SO AFRAID? WHAT ARE THEY AFRAID OF, EXACTLY? AND WHY ARE "RESPONSIBLE REPUBLICANS" LEADING THE CHARGE???

These pussy RINOS and so-called Republican "leaders" are afraid of ONE thing - losing power by having the RACE CARD used against them.

Barry's only HALF black, but these panty-waste Republican Nancy-girls are 100% AFRAID to tell the DAMN TRUTH (the DANG truth for all you lurking Freeper McCain fans).

They appear to have decided...

To HELL with the TRUTH.

To hell with putting the onus on the President to explain just WTF he is paying BIG bucks to hide.

To hell with following the CONSTITUTION.

To hell with their constituents and with doing what is RIGHT for America and Americans.

The tree may need watering sooner than we think.

All News Corp publications report on this issue in the same manner.

Your point is accurate.

If we're to assume that these Republicans are right in their criticism, then we must assume that we can take Mr. Obama at his word.

That being the case, we must also assume that Mr. Obama is right that Republicans (and Bush) are responsible for the rotten economy, only representing the rich and big business. Again, it's just taking Mr. Obama at his word.

Instruction from the ruling class. Note dismissive use of the word “birther.”

This article was likely solicited by NewsCorp so as to provide them an immunity charm against the Regime’s desperate throes as this breaks on them.

Anyone who refers to upholding the integrity of the eligibility clause of the Constitution as a fringe conspiracy issue is a complete fraud in regards to being taken seriously at all.

We have already seen the eligibility be raised and taken seriously when it was a Republican (McCain) who was being challenged and we all know that beyond Obama not providing any actual Birth Certificate that he has also fought in Court to conceal all of his past records.

So now we cannot raise the issue because it is a democrat? Chuck Schumer is on tape demanding that McCain release ALL of his past records if he wants to run for President. Yet nothing has been done to hold Obama to the same standard.

If anyone from within the GOP would have addressed this issue and dealt with it then it would be over already but instead we get these bizarre statements from conservatives and Republicans insisting that we all ignore the issue and ignore the Constitution.

If responsible Republicans don't speak out immediately against Mr. Trump's gambit, it will do substantial damage both to their party and to American politics...

I hope and pray this is true.
