A New Jersey judge on Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit for defamation filed by Donald Trump against an author whose book gave an estimate of the real estate developer's wealth much lower than Trump's own.

Superior Court Judge Michele Fox rejected arguments by Trump's lawyers that he had been the victim of "actual malice" as a result of Timothy O'Brien's book "Trump Nation: The Art of Being the Donald" published in October 2005.

O'Brien, editor of The New York Times' Sunday business section, cited three confidential sources who estimated Trump's net worth at between $150 million and $250 million, much lower than Trump's own estimates of around $4 billion.

There is a difference between cash on hand and assets.

Trump has a lot of assets and they have all taken a huge hit because of this economy. Which is the reason he is going after this administration.

“Which is the reason he is going after this administration.”

I don’t care what his motives are. If he is to be the one who can expose the corrupt, incompetent marxist usurper, then so be it.

What is amazing to me is that folks like Eric Cantor and Mitt Romney and others in the GOP badmouth Trump for doing the heavy lifting when they are doing nothing, nada, zip to tell the truth about the Evil Obama.

He’s doing this to promote his multi-level marketing programs. He might also be pressured into doing this by Soros or someone. He’s distracting the public from Obama’s terrible job performance. The media has love to have an excuse to take that off the front page.

There is not a single conservative in the country that can run for president?

Did you vote for John Anderson or George H.W. Bush for president in 1980. Obviously you didn’t vote for Ronald Reagan, who was an also-ran from 1976.

You are wrong. I voted for Reagan TWICE with enthusiasm. I can not stand the democrats. I have never voted 3rd party and never will. Now stop guessing how I voted.

Every conservative is free to run. There is nothing stopping them.

You are the one who said you didn't want to "recycle also-rans." Reagan ran for president in 1976, so, by your definition he's not acceptable.

By the way, Trump is an also-ran. He tried to run for president in 2008, 2000, and 1988. Or at least pretended he would. In 2008, from the left, and in 2000 as an Independent.

Wrong, trump sells the usage of his name, he owns very little of the buildings that have his name on them. How do I know, the old lady worked for the company that built some of them. I would guess the guy is pretty close on his estimate.

For the most part, yes.
But he’s dead on correct when it comes to China, South Korea, and OPEC.

In 1976, there was no 24-7 cable with political accent.
I hardly recall seeing Reagan on TV except in a few clips on evening news on the big 3 TV stations.

My enthusiasm for Reagan was mainly a result of my disdain for Carter in 1980 and Mondale in 1984.

I’d take Trump’s word over that of a New York Times editor any day.

So you really didn’t care for Reagan, and you love Trump? Do you consider yourself a Republican. Maybe you should found a Reality Show Party. I’m sure you have a built in consituency for nitwitted attention whore.
