....or maybe I should get one of these to mow my lawn....I could get lots of exercise, wouldn't need to use any gas, wouldn't destroy the ozone, etc.
Of course, it would take me three weeks to do the whole lawn.

I’d like to know how this compares Globaly.
Does anyone know where to see a breakdown of average gas prices for the Western countries?
It would be interesting to see how prices compare to per capita income.
Would like to see prices for Eastern countries in the same way too.

Does anyone know where to see a breakdown of average gas prices for the Western countries? Most western nations put taxes on gas that are higher than the actual price of the gas. IOW they tax it at over 100%. The difference between $4 gas in the US and $9 gas in the UK is $5 in additional taxes

Wasn’t this inevitable though? When the Dollar is so worthless that it takes almost 1500 of em to buy 1oz of Gold, how could commodity proces not eventually follow along? I’m suprised it took this long to really take effect.

I’d like to see a graph of gas prices and the percentage of gas tax for western countries.
It would have to consider currency exchange rates and be volume specific (liters or Gallons or whatever.
Any ideas of how to go about getting the numbers?

Can’t compare. European gasoline is grossly overtaxed. Refining processes are roughly the same, so the cost to refine in terms of man-hours is roughly the same.
Therefore, taxation accounts for the price difference. The tax on gas in Europe is far beyond that in the US.

I saw a chart like that a few months ago. i don’t remember where.
Two things that will really scew it is 1) nations that subsidize their gas (Mexico) and 20 those that tax it to the hilt (UK)

The best comparison is wages.
Whether prices do or don’t go legitimately up or down, turmoil will result if wages don’t keep pace.
So, anger over prices caused by inflation is because wages have not kept pace with the price increases.
That’s primarily what makes Obama’s stupid comment to the guy with 10 kids a stupid comment.

lol. These high gas prices are starting to have an impact on my driving decisions. Now I’m trying to get most of my errands done in one trip instead of spreading it out over a couple of trips.

Obama and the MSM will try to blame us for the high prices for refusing to use CFLs, drive Chevy Volts, carpool and turn down the heat. The MSM will go right along with it.
