Even if I’m willing to believe that this is the very rare “Lolita” — an early-sexualized girl who indeed DOES try to seduce much-older males — so what??, legally speaking. No one forced the guy to do anything to this young girl. “But she came on to me” isn’t a good enough excuse, particularly for so obviously young a girl.

It probably indicates there is a huge pedophile ring at work in England.
There were similar acquittals in Belgium, until one judge stood up and convicted a pedophile-kidnapper-murderer who had let two girls starve to death in his basement. The pedophile was put in the nation’s top security prison—then was allowed to escape, because he knew of dozens of high officials in government who were also pedophiles.
Fortunately, he was captured just before he reached the border. The public was outraged, at one point holding a rally of hundreds of thousands against pedophilia and pedophiles. This paralyzed the government and political parties.
But the pedophiles in power were not done, yet. The judge who had convicted the pedophile started to receive serious death threats, and had to go into the equivalent of witness protection.
The pedophile ring was never truly broken, throwing Belgium into a deep paranoia about their children that remains to this day. But since they no longer can operate as freely as they once did, the pedophiles have likely branched out into other nations, with a less protected supply of young children they can prey on.
Such as England.

I would have thought you would be relieved! The precedent this sets is huge for the Catholic Church, or at least for those Catholics on FR who argued that no priest molested anyone against their will, rather it was the priests who were themselves victims of seduction, taken advantage of by homosexuals within the age of consent.
Oh, and if the girl in your news story was age 13, the male couldn't have been a pedophile. How many times have Catholics told us that?

Truely awful. No way a 13 year old could “Seduce” any one, even begging with a hundred dollar bill in her teeth...SHE IS STILL 13 YEARS OLD! Sick.
I told my son when he was young, when ANY child is touched inappropriately by ANY adult, it is ALWAYS the adult’s fault. Period.
