Fukino said,..... She found the original birth record, properly numbered, half typed and half handwritten, and signed by the doctor who delivered Obama, located in the files. She then put out a public statement asserting to the document's validity.

If this is Fukino's statement, she DID NOT describe it as a "birth certificate". I think this is important.

What she did say that was important was the statement "and signed by the doctor who delivered Obama". This is the first time it has been stated that a doctors signature was on the "document". Notice she did not mention the hospital. I think that is an important omission too.

Now here is a statement that I think is a outright lie:

But Wisch, the spokesman for the attorney general's office, said state law does not in fact permit the release of "vital records," including an original "record of live birth" — even to the individual whose birth it records.

But if he or anybody else wanted a copy of their birth records, they would be told to fill out the appropriate state form and receive back the same computer generated "certification of live birth" form that everybody else gets — which is exactly what Obama did four years ago.

I doubt very seriously that that is the "law" in HI. It may be a policy that an official has adopted, but it makes no sense.

If Obama released an accurate record to FactCheck.org then the information in that record is no longer covered by privacy laws since it has been made public.

If the COLB that he released to FactCheck.org is inaccurate or fraudulent, then the Hawaiian officials likely have engaged in criminal activity by omission at the least, they have failed to report a fraud.

Something really stinks in Hawaii.

Several actual long form birth certificates as obtained by those entiled to them have been shown here and elsewhere and folks from Hawaii have stated that they obtained their long form certificate.

I wonder if the great Dr. Fukino could cite the law she refers to that won’t allow people to see their own birth certificate. Funny that no other state has such a law, isn’t it?

She did not say that at all. Isikoff claimed that.

I agree with you.

The spokesman for the attorney general is engaging in a little subterfuge by not using the words birth certificate or certificate of live birth.

He says (correctly, no doubt) that they don't release the original (HARD COPY) "vital records;" However, to IMPLY that one can't get an original citified COPY of one's original Certificate Of Live Birth (long form) -- such as I myself have -- is, I believe, untrue.

In fact, freeper Danae got an oreginal copy of her long form from Hawaii -- although I think she, inadvertently, did not ask that it be certified.
