I've always respected your posts, Jim ... but this is disturbing.

I think a lot of us always felt that there would be some recourse, albeit in the future.

Apparent authority looks like it can be used in many other areas as well (bigamy?), but I've never heard of it before, and of course have never heard of it's use.

I've always respected your posts, Jim ... but this is disturbing.

So in your mind what Wikipedia - of all things - says now "Trumps" the Constitution itself does it?

The "art" of Law and and legal contrivances somehow supersede the Constitution?

Horse shit and hand-wringers are more and more becoming their own self-fulfilling companions around here.

Either the Constitution means something, or we make up rules as we go along. It's no more difficult to understand than that.

One side represents the Right in this country and the other side is the Left. At its core that is what the whole debate has ever been about. And that will be the pivotal question answered in a "Civil War" level crisis -- toward which we are heading - no question. It's coming.

And I say bring it on. I'll dare say there are more out there like me than there are the defeatist hand-wringers on this board.

Some fear a race war and riots if it does. But why? Do people somehow think Blacks all like being lied to? Tell that to the likes of Lloyd Marcus, tell that to Allan West -- tell that to plenty of folks out there whose skin color happens to be darker than mine that they like the embarrassment the illegitimacy of this "President" by extension means for them as much as anyone else.

If you are a true Reagan conservative you will believe as I do that The Left will lose that war. And if you are paying attention at all you will see that they already are.

The way some people post around here of late you'd think they derive their personal sense of self-worth from all the phony self-imputed powers of prognostication which invariably MUST result in conservatives being the ones winding up on the losing side of history, when history -- particularly US History -- shows that the opposite is true.

If the Constitution means anything going forward -- and I firmly believe in the end it will -- then Jim Noble is WRONG.

Most readers around here are more "on the ball" than to use Wikipedia as a primary source for a reference on such a topic as this.

The day the USSC uses Wikpedia like Jim Noble does as the basis for writing one of their opinions as a matter of "stare decisis" is the day to worry. Not before then.

Silly Wikipedia-level thinking like that should just be shown the door.

FReegards!

That’s WHY some legal experts calls this convoluted case a Constitutional crisis of proportion our nation has NEVER been faced with, and the legal difficulties to be sorted out never seen in 230+ years, hmmm!!!
