Yeah, a lot hinges on that favorite supreme court justice for me. And not just with Trump, but with every candidate. He or she will have to go on record with promises before the final presidential campaign begins and be held to the "deal" if elected. We can probably expect a "Harriet Miers" episode or two even if a republican wins. This is why we need to make the federal Congress (House and Senate) more Tea-Party-like in the next election. We must insulate ourselves against whoever wins the Presidency. In fact, our number one task (besides defeating the Kenyan) is to support the ascendancy of the Tea Party at every level of government, from the US Senate to the local school board.

Since Trump, if he runs, would be seeking the Republican nomination, and is obviously trying to establish his conservative cred, it would be incredibly stupid for him to name Kennedy or one of the moonbats. If he names a staunch conservative, the question would be how deeply held his convictions are.

On the plus side, if the BC issue plays out the way many think it will, the Dems and the MSM will be badly damaged. It will be harder for them to succeed with their usual, ‘If this conservative judge is confirmed, the world will come to an end’ routine.

Also, Trump would fight for his nominee. He would get in front of the cameras and make the Dems look like jerks for acting in their usual bastardly manner. So providing he made a good nomination, the odds of confirmation would be better than with the run-of-the-mill GOPer who folds when the Dem din hits its typical crescendo.
