The republicans need to remove the troops from these kind of spats. They are unfair collateral damage. Do you realize Republicans TRIED to do just that? Reid and Obama wouldn't do it. Even Bill Clinton wasn't that cruel-he agreed with Newt to take the military off the table and fund them through the end of that year during the 95 budget battle!

M. Bachmann said she’d intro legislation to remove them permanently from the list of those whose pay is cut off.
