Must have been a gentle soft mouthed coyote.I wondered about that too. I'm guessing that the coyote's habit is to take the food fresh back to its den and allow the pups to tear it apart.

I had an identical situation in my yard. I had to literally pry a chipmunk from the mouth of a very angry neighbors cat . Why? Reminds me of a former neighbor (an English lady) who used to trap chipmunks that ragaged her garden and then carry them 1/2 mile away and let them loose on the golf course. It never occurred to her that she was trapping a releasing the same animals over and over again.

Sounds like it has good reason to be nervous.

There is at least one family of coyotes in the area, and some folks don’t think they are “real” so they let the pets out without leashes or supervision. Something responsible pet owners would never do.
If I live to be 120, I’ll never understand why people think pets (and kids) are disposable.
But don’t get me started! LOL!

Nothing like a kitty-cat thread to bring out the sickos.Depressing...especially when they are in a conservative forum.....

At the end of the day, you're still a race baiting idiot. You likely also pick your butt and eat your boogers. Those are your better qualities. OMG...I've seen read everything in here now....lol

Cats are domestic, coyotes are not. There's world of difference.

My Brother lost two of his farm/barn cats to one large owl over a two week period!
That’s part of the Circle of Life!
By the way there maybe domesticated cats but FERAL cats are not in that group.
Also free roaming cats are considered “FERAL”, where I live.

That pic is cute but has
nothing to do with a pack of coyotes taking down 2 of the neighboring farms calves. Notice that it wasn't a pack of cats.
Live in a city do ya?

And? Cats won’t take down farm animals but a pack of coyotes will.

Sorry for posting a cute. I’ve learned my lesson.

Cats wont take down farm animals but a pack of coyotes will.Pack of kittens take down large dog.
To: DJ MacWoW
Even a domesticated cat will take farm animals(chickens, rabbits). I know this to be a fact as I have seen the results.
Where my brother lives there are less Coyotes than the neighboring counties as most people don’t scream at them. They shoot and shovel. Some times they do not even shovel. Also the sheriff doesn’t consider them cute, either!

The coyotes here are brazen and numerous. The neighboring farm didn’t think they’d get 2 calves but they did. And nearly everything will take chickens and rabbits. lol

Aha! You
didn't learn your lesson! Cute pic. ;-)
There are some on the thread that believe that cats are as much of a threat as coyotes, or that coyotes aren't a real threat. Coyotes are around here. In my township you can get a "nuisance" license to shoot anything that threatens your stock. I think bears are excluded.

The asinine part is you equating a cat to a human baby. The coyote didn’t think it was someones property, he thought it was dinner. He was almost right.
Coyotes doing what coyotes do!
