I can't wait to see the likes of Bob Casey, Joe Manchin, Claire McCaskill, Ben Nelson etc. have to defend their 'yea' vote on federal funding of abortion during the 2012 election.

‘That is a WIN.’
The race is not over. Don’t put down the whip until we cross the finish line. If they can’t stand the heat, they should get out of the kitchen.

("It's hard to take the president seriously." - Jim DeMint)
In a joint statement, Boehner and Reid said:
We have agreed to an historic amount of cuts for the remainder of this fiscal year, as well as a short-term bridge that will give us time to avoid a shutdown while we get that agreement through both houses and to the President. We will cut $78.5 billion below the Presidents 2011 budget proposal, and we have reached an agreement on the policy riders. In the meantime, we will pass a short-term resolution to keep the government running through Thursday. That short-term bridge will cut the first $2 billion of the total savings.
.
We already got 10 billion so that makes a total of 88 and a half Billion in cuts.
Assuming they’re real cuts- not bad.
A “C” grade.

We lost! We lost! We lost! ....and all the Republican apologists on FR are celebrating like we won! We won! We won!
We now know for certain Boehner will never go to the limit to defund Obamacare.
Obamacare is here to stay,
and all the Republican apologists,
feel quite gay!

"What a sad joke. Boehner couldnt even hold the line on what amounts to chump change in another bloated fantasy budget.
In the end, were going to pay dearly for this crap."
Rove is on Greta giving Boehner high praise for the great job he did!!!
My God!! These people are sick. If Boehner can't do any better than this with a drop in the bucket deal & caving on everything the RATS wanted - you have to be dreaming to think he's going to have the spine to do any better on the 2012 budget?
He needs to be replaced by someone who has some guts. The republican elite are taking us down the road to ruin.
We handed them the goods in the last election & Boehner is crowing about the best deal he can get? What the hell would be the worst deal he could get???!!

I never said we won the war. ;-) Maybe if we get a GOP Senate and WH in 2012.

Nope. I am a realist..and I know strategy. I know we are sunk if we can’t take back the WH and the senate...and that is an impossibility if we can’t frame a debate better than what we just did. The PR worm had turned and the GOP in their typical fashion was sound-bited into defeat...but this was the dems budget. Anything is better than what we should have gotten if the dems had done their job in the first place.
And...they are making the dems vote on these riders.

You’re right, but it begs the question, why didn’t dems do all this when they had all the power?

That seals it. If Rove, the big government, establishment Republican who had a hand in getting us in the mess we’re in today is celebrating it as a win, we know we lost.

...That is called collegiality, and the purpose is to avoid fistfights and beatings on the floor of congress, as there used to be. It is even more important when you spend 10 months of the year working together, as opposed to a couple of months every two years, as in pre-Civil War days....
I suggest we drop the congeniality and the 10 months a year working and go back to 2 months with commensurate pay and regular beatings. Its either that or Civil War.

Rove is on Greta giving Boehner high praise for the great job he did!!! Rove was preaching to cut a deal since Obama and the Democrat would "win" if they did not.
To: Gilbo_3
HA_HA, it all was joke. Not commenting on the ‘deal’ until I know more.

What did we lose? What could we have won that the Senate and WH would have gone along with? Earlier this week Dingy Harry said "hell no" to a vote on funding for Planned Parenthood. Now, as part of this deal, he has to allow a vote. So the 23 Dems up for re-election next year (many who are in RED states) will have to run on supporting tax payer funded abortions. That is a WIN. The fact we're cutting spending period with a Dem controlled Senate and WH is a WIN. We need to keep our eye on the prize which is taking back the Senate and WH in 2012.
