It's not the bankrupt part that Americans are looking at. It's the part of the story where he actually pulled through after bankruptcy. This nation cannot get any closer to bankruptcies than it is now. How could anybody with any business knowledge bring this nation any lower than it has been taken down already by Obama. Recovery from bankruptcy and someone who has done it already with something more than a corner store is what will be second on the list of priorities. Under number 1 - knowledge of private sector business Trump recovered from bankrupcy because he sheltered himself from his debts leaving other people to take the hit.

By Trumps calculations, his proposed 14.25 percent levy on such net worth would raise 5.7 trillion and wipe out the debt in one full swoop.
