“In 2007 Rush didn’t want to take on the issue since it made him look like a right-wing kook”

I don’t think it needed to be approached in such a way as to appear like a kook. To ask for verification of constitutional requirements in a sensible no-nonsense manner can be done in a perfectly non-kooky way. Ask for verification from all the candidates. When O fails to deliver, ask why. It is perfectly reasonable.

And all of that was done by a number of different people. But Obama and those helping him cover his tracks said proof of eligibility had been provided. They claim the computer printout "Certification of Live Birth" is a totally valid document that proves his eligibility.

McCain provided an original BC. Obama didn't, but we're left with first proving that computer printout Obama provided is not a valid document, and proving further negatives after that.

That's where it stands, and those covering for Obama now refuse to establish any real proof of eligibility requirements for the future.
