Question is: In who's behalf?

Trump was a supporter of Hillary in 2008 and has come to his new conservative beliefs only lately.

It's quite plausible that Trump's current actions are designed to improve Hillary's prospects for a 2012 primary run.

At some point you must start to believe that he was born in Hawaii and that the energy should be focused on defeating him in 2012.
