Works do not save you; works are an expression of your faith. Nobody goes to heaven because of their deeds.
Realizing that we are all sinners and knowing that Jesus intervened and took our sins upon Himself to save us. Knowing that He loved us so much that He went to certain death.
That is the way; He said so Himself.
