"Big numbers" as you put it translate into ad revenue. sponser's pay for audience and if it's there they pay and if it isn't they don't. It's that simple.

BTW, where do you get your info that FNC was "really hurt" by any boycott? Do you have a source and a link?

If it was that simple then the Left wouldn’t have bothered to run their successful sponsor boycott of Beck’s show.

The difference is the quality of the ads that run on Beck vs. the rest of the Fox’s shows. Ads for Ford, Tide, Pepsi etc are much more lucrative than those Buy Gold ads. You won’t see any of the former on Beck.

Now it may be more complicated than this but ad revenue was certainly a major factor.
