Eau Claire (WQOW) - So many people showed up to the polls Tuesday night, some polling sites ran out of ballots.

Around 5:30 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Eau Claire there were no more ballots for wards 31 and 32. Officials and voters had to wait around half an hour for more ballots, leading to a long line.

“We had to divert them all to the touch machine so, of course, we’ve only got one of those so by the time they got the ballots here, there was quite a back up,” says election official Carol Cox.

The City of Eau Claire completely ran out of ballots for one of the wards so they had to use printed copies. Those will have to be counted by hand.

Polling sites in the Towns of Washington and Seymour and the City of Altoona also ran out of ballots.

Is that good or bad? Are those GOP areas, or are they Dem areas? If Dem areas, then they will have a great opportunity to stuff the ballot boxes.
