Live thread: Wisconsin Supreme Court election - Prosser vs Kloppenburg

This election is important nationally too. If Kloppenburg is elected the Wisconsin mandate by the electorate in 2010 in this state will be negated by the WI Supreme Court and the unions will have won.

I live in a hardcore conservative area and discovered today that my Prosser yardsign was mutilated and thrown into one of my plantings.

Pray for Wisconsin and for Prosser's election!

Thanks...

I'm also seeing that Jefferson is going less for Prosser than Walker.

Too bad..

From the WSJ:

A recount and any subsequent litigation in Wisconsin could bring the state's unusual same-day registration law into the spotlight. Minnesota has a similar law that allows anyone to show up at the polls, register and then cast a ballot. ID requirements are minimal. If someone lacks ID, he can vote so long as someone who lives in the same city vouches for him. In practice, same-day voting becomes an engraved invitation to commit voter fraud with little or no risk of detection.

Get it - They were doing SAME DAY REGISTRATION at UW. Everyone knows this election stinks. You don't think there's a few thousand invalid voters they could find in a couple of hours?

If Kloppencommie wins, make sure the stink of what the 'rats did says with her. The rest of the state should be OUTRAGED the slimey fraudsters stole their right to representation from them.

Why are the votes for Prosser going down? I noticed when updating that Kloppenburg was going up by 10 votes or 3 votes and Prosser starting going down. This is what you had:

Joanne Kloppenburg 739,589 50%

David Prosser (inc) 739,354 50%

This is what is showing now:
Joanne Kloppenburg 739,379 50%

David Prosser (inc) 739,043 50%

Do you think they are slowly trying to fix it? That would be my guess - how can the vote go down?

JoAnne Kloppenburg’s tiny lead over incumbent justice David Prosser for a seat on the Wisconsin State Supreme Court is now at 224 votes as one precinct is left to count, the Town of Lake Mills in Jefferson County.

According to the Lake Mills Leader newspaper, a problem with its tally sheets kept the township from reporting any results to Jefferson County last night. Election officials in the township were supposed to begin counting 24 remaining uncounted votes and review their tally sheets again at 8:30 a.m. this morning but because there was a lack of a quorum on the Board of Canvassers, the vote count did not begin until 11:45 a.m.

Prosser carried Jefferson County by a 58-42 percent margin. The township reportedly has some 700-760 votes to add to the county total.

Do you have a link of where you are getting this information? Maybe I’m not on a very good site!

Thanks!

Prosser would be up by 1.5-2 points if Dane turnout was lower.

Or if conservative voter turnout was higher.

We conservatives should have turnout of well over 90%
but too often conservative area voter turnout is under 50%.
Conservatives who don't vote should not bitch about the results.

It appears that if those margins held true and if another 760 total votes were added, K would win by 12 votes? Am I missing something here?

—Yeah, I just noticed that, too- they subtracted votes from both, but she widens her lead to 336 votes (from a 235 lead an hour or so ago). Reporting has remained at 99% the whole time, though.

Jefferson County numbers haven’t changed from the last AP report- so where are they subtracting from?

‘Vouching’ here in MN is a joke. You can legally ‘vouch’ for a van full of people just be saying , “yes, those are my neighbors”.

It’s going to be addressed in a new Voter ID bill soon, but the new GOP majority are still dithering about the particulars.

I would not be a bit surprised if the rats deliberately made sure the vote was close enough that they wouldn’t have to pay for the recount. Then, during the freebie recount, comes the more massive volume of fraudulent votes. That’s been working for them in the recent past.

Let me guess. All the Dane County precincts reported last? Is that about right? And now she pulled off a miracle, come from behind victory. I’m shocked.

It looks like Klop is up by 206 now, and Lake Mills is still unreported.

I don't know how to crunch this, Freeper Numbers Guy is who I've been watching.

I’ve seen this before. Conservatives losing elections because they didn’t vote.

Waukesha County had a 2010 census count of 389,891.
Of that, about 300,000 are old enough to vote.
Yet in this election, only 110,587 voted.
If Waukesha had turned out another 100,000 voters
and 73% voted for Prosser, he would be winning by 70,000 votes instead of being up or down by a few hundred votes.

sounds like the vouching system means anyone can vote and the potential for fraud is unlimited. we’ll never really know what the real totals were.

I’ve lost the link to the AP county-by-county page. My husband must have closed it out of the tray this morning. Do you have the link handy? Thanks, and thanks for all you’ve been doing.
