This election is important nationally too. If Kloppenburg is elected the Wisconsin mandate by the electorate in 2010 in this state will be negated by the WI Supreme Court and the unions will have won.
I live in a hardcore conservative area and discovered today that my Prosser yardsign was mutilated and thrown into one of my plantings.
Pray for Wisconsin and for Prosser's election!
What?
Huh? Vote totals of 4.26 million? So far it looks like total votes of 1,454,528 have been reported so far, with David Prosser holding a slim lead of 1,878 votes.
I guess I don't understand your numbers.
Ashland (6), Dane (1), Eau Claire (21), Milwaukee (14) still to be counted. It’s over. Kloppenburg takes it easily.
“I think more and more bad stuff is going to be unearthed. Just keep looking and others will, too.”
Are you trying to trick me into cleaning the cat pan???
I’ve been an election judge in WI. Ballot counting is automated. It’s the double checking of the count (proving the balance) that takes a long time — particularly if somebody has made a mistake.
We were there in my precinct until 1 AM in the Nov. 2010 election. I wasn’t the judge for that one; I was in charge of registration. But, some of the assistents were careless and somehow 7 votes were switched from one Ward to another (there were 2 different ballots). It took all night to figure it out.
Personally, I think that 7 people messed up their ballots and reached over and helped themselves to the wrong ballot while the precinct workers were distracted. (We had 2 ballots at our box with different names and races on them.) We had 7 more people voting in one of the elections than registered and 7 less people casting ballots in the other election than registered.
The reason that I think that was the explanation is that I was registering people and I observed the group huddled at the table ignoring voters while they opened and checked absentee ballots. I reported it, but the Chief Inspector didn’t believe me. The County Clerk decided that the ballot box had malfunctioned which is a much scarier thought than if 3 Dems (that’s why I was watching them) weren’t paying attention.
The registration book and the blank ballots for the election that was overcast by 7 was located closest to the voting booths. The 3 Dems were flapping their mouths and not paying attention to what was going on around them. It sounds hard to believe, but 7 people just took a new ballot, except is was the wrong ballot. Apparently they were too stupid to notice that their substitute ballot had the wrong names on it.
Or, would you rather believe that the electronic ballot box malfunctioned? Actually, a malfunction wouldn’t explain it because we had an actual ballot count that was wrong by 7.
fellow freeper “comebacknewt”
When all is said and done less than 1.5 million votes will have been cast. And AP hasn’t exactly been accurate in it’s precinct counts.
Newt? Sheesh, does he have to have an opinion about everything? I’m sick of him.
55 precincts still out (1 from Dane, 12 from Milwaukee) with Prosser still up 1878. The latest 33 precincts netted Kloppy a gain of 1 vote each.
It does makes a big difference when you are counting thousands of ballots instead just a couple of hundred.
No, I said it was a very crude and very quick estimation. The averages mean next to nothing. The size of the vote totals in the counties of the precincts left to be counted and the margins in those counties tell me all I need to know. They have the votes. I don’t need to crunch the numbers any more. It’s obvious.
I’m not trying to be a downer. I was holding out hope until I spent two minutes looking at the numbers. Prosser simply can’t win with what’s left on the table.
And here it starts.......
How come it is always the DEM strongholds that are always the last ones. Prosser up almost all night, and then BAMMM....
I hope I am wrong...
Those numbers would be with Eau Claire 100% reporting; their finals are on the county website now and the numbers match your post exactly.
Supreme Court REPORTING 99% David Prosser (inc) 733,074 50% Joanne Kloppenburg 732,489 50%
Sorry, 426,000 vs. 71,000. A stray zero snuck in there. It’s late. I’m pissed.
On the other hand, I should have known better than to trust AP in the first place. ;)
I still think that IF the AP numbers are now correct, Prosser will lose. That is an awfully big IF though.
Sorry Prosser, we all know you have to beat the Democratic Socialist candidate by more than 5% to defeat the margin of cheating. You made a good run at it, tho’.
I’m hearing a couple of things that may keep some hope alive.
First, some (most?) of the outstanding precincts are “empty” precincts - no voters.
Second, that Milwaukee is actually 100% in.
Third, Eau Claire is 100% reported. Their results cut the Prosser lead to 585.
I guess we’ll see what happens.
