Live thread: Wisconsin Supreme Court election - Prosser vs Kloppenburg

This election is important nationally too. If Kloppenburg is elected the Wisconsin mandate by the electorate in 2010 in this state will be negated by the WI Supreme Court and the unions will have won.

I live in a hardcore conservative area and discovered today that my Prosser yardsign was mutilated and thrown into one of my plantings.

Pray for Wisconsin and for Prosser's election!

The TV says something different? Is there actually a live newscast covering this fiasco?

Based on 21 remaining precincts out of 61, and current 40:60 split in votes, I come up with a max of 1095 votes using same ratio. 21/61*(9524-6343). How you calculating?

You should use 21/40*(9524-6343). Only 40 precincts have been counted up until this point. About have that amount (21 vs. 40) remain to be counted.

That makes sense that there are no more absentee ballots to count, if I’ve got my time zones right. If they were counting at 1:00 ET, it means close to an hour ago or so, right?

Trying to keep all the times straight; I’m in the MT zone.

Channel 12 in Milwaukee reporting that all votes have been counted in Milwaukee County including absentee ballots. Praying this is a PROSSER win.

I have several friends and fond memories of our years in Wisconsin, so I pray for the success of the will of the people. I hope that the will of the people is still as it was when I lived there. I hope that what I witnessed from the capitol was not representative. (This is what democracy looks like!)

Unfortunately, that IS what “democracy” looks like.

From what I’ve seen of Texas, it’s a fine state as long as you stay in the rural areas, but that pretty much goes for any state. Particularly if their are no income taxes.

Typical Rat behavior — hold out to figure out how many votes to steal it.

Hope Republicans have poll watchers in place.

It looks like tonight’s result, whoever wins it, is a preliminary result. It is going to court and/or a recount.

No problem, take it in two steps. Compromise on moving to Needles, so she can be in California, and you can be near Prescott. Stay in Needles for the summer, then take her to Prescott for the weekend come fall. Only problem you may have is that you may have to go back and do the moving while she stays in Prescott.

Is there actually a live newscast covering this fiasco?

All of the local stations are covering it with a crawl and several are running live interviews from the various campaign gatherings.

Are Wisconsin union thugs so incompetent they can’t steal such a close election? They will be the laughing stock at the next DemocRAT convention. They will be ragged on forever by their Minnesota conterparts who stole the Senate election from Norm Coleman

You’re making a lot of assumptions in that spreadsheet.

If someone actually knew what these precincts were that hadn’t reported, and what they did 6 months ago, we’d have a better idea.

We’re also relying on the AP’s reporting here, right? They’ve been wrong about the number of precincts reporting. I like Marathon - 108/140 16,368 54% 14,032 46%

Less than 1/3 of the state is what you envision..... actually I live in the blast furnace area on the Colorado River and would not change a thing, we had a miserable cold winter an the last few weeks have been magnificent, I’ll take heat any day of the week.
