A declassified memo discovered by lawyer Jesse Trentadue, whose brother died in the Oklahoma City bombing, has revealed that, in the 90s, the FBI had considered a top ABC News journalist a potential informant in the wake of the bombing The unnamed journalist is described as having been cooperative in helping the FBI determine the confidential source of a tip sent in to the network.
According to the document, the journalist, who maintained consistent contact with the FBI between 1995 and 1996, told the FBI that the source was someone working within the Saudi Arabian Intelligence Service who had revealed that the Oklahoma City bombing was sponsored by the Iraqi Special Services. The memo says the name for that source was given by a CIA officer named Vincent Cannistraro. Cannistraro, however, said this week that he was “surprised that an ABC journalist had contacted the FBI and relayed the information, in part because it had not been corroborated and was just a rumor passing through Saudi circles.” He added that he had revealed the same information to the FBI himself, but that he had not authorized anyone at ABC to reveal the tip.
The Center for Public Integrity reports that the potential informant was kept on file for future consideration...

How did the Clintons “block” it? I’m not disputing just wondering, since BJC was out of office and HRC was just a senator. It’s pretty clear they wanted no connection and ignored/suppressed any link between Oklahoma City and the Middle East. It would have destroyed the preferred narrative, that the bombing was a result of the “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy”.

Jesse Trentadue’s brother was not killed in the Oklahoma City bombing, but was found dead in prison in Oklahoma City around the time of the bombing. Jesse Trentadue believes that his brother was murdered while in custody of federal agents because he resembled a bank robbery suspect who was somehow connected to the Oklahoma City bombing.
I am not sure how they did. I have just heard through the years they did. I remember when George Bush was speaking after it happened. They were in the office looking extremely uncomfortable. Hillary looked like a deer caught in headlights.

If 9/11 had happened during his administration I am reasonably sure all of the Saudi culprits would have been identified by the press as members of the Republican Party.
Strange - the Iraqi or (maybe) Osama bin Laden? Odd how the Clinton administration was all too ready to blame it exclusively on the right...

It was established, (if I’m not mistaken, I forget by whom), that some Iraqi intel operatives met several times with al-Qaeda members in the mid 90’s.
