This is Lingle’s quote:
” “I had my health director, who is a physician by background, go personally view the birth certificate in the birth records of the Department of Health. The president was in fact born at Kapi’olani Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. And that's just a fact. It's been established he was born here. I can understand why people want to make certain that the constitutional requirement of being a natural-born American citizen ... but the question has been asked and answered. And I think just we should all move on now.”
It looks like you left out part of Lingle's claim. She said, "So I had my health director, who is a physician by background, go personally view the birth certificate in the birth records of the Department of Health, and we issued a news release at that time saying that the president was, in fact, born at Kapi'olani Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii."
Lingle's claim suffers from factual deficiencies. She had said this news release was issued at the time Lingle was campaigning for McCain, which would have been in October 2008. The health director did release a statement a few days prior to the election, but it did not say Obama was born in Kapi'olani Hospital ... in fact, it didn't even say Obama was born in Hawaii. It only said that she saw that an original birth certificate was "on record."
Weasely, weasely, weasely.
And that Fukino or whatever her name is was even worse.
