The British regulations at that time are hard for me to determine regarding the transfer of british citizenship in out-of-wedlock marriages. It could be that there was no transfer of British citizenship to BHO Jr. if there were no marriage.
Also, if Obama was born outside the US and SAD was not married, for whatever reason, Obama would have had US citizenship conferred at birth, As I read the regulations.
There would be no transfer of US citizenship in an out-of-US birth if SAD was married to BHO Sr. at that time. Again, as I read the regulations.
Then it just becomes a tit for tat. Everyone running should release ALL their records including their LFBC's! Then it becomes a challenge and the LSM will not be able to ignore it.
It looks like you left out part of Lingle's claim. She said, "So I had my health director, who is a physician by background, go personally view the birth certificate in the birth records of the Department of Health, and we issued a news release at that time saying that the president was, in fact, born at Kapi'olani Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii."
Lingle's claim suffers from factual deficiencies. She had said this news release was issued at the time Lingle was campaigning for McCain, which would have been in October 2008. The health director did release a statement a few days prior to the election, but it did not say Obama was born in Kapi'olani Hospital ... in fact, it didn't even say Obama was born in Hawaii. It only said that she saw that an original birth certificate was "on record."
Hawaii states that they have a “record”of obama’s birth. they have never said that they have a hospital generated birth certificate that is required for a CERTIFIED certificate of birth.

I don’t think Obummer’s people in Hawaii ever registered his birth in the way Mainland people understand.
The giveaway for me was the use of the word “filed” on the digital Fight the Smears “Certification.” “Registered” would indicate a normal documentation process but it appears that old, backwater Hawaii which was still under territorial “inflate the population” policies in 1961, allowed Toot Durham or some other relative to record the birth in a very informal process.
Zer0 could have been born in or out of Hawaii. Such sloppy informality could have resulted in a supposed Hawaiian birth “record” but no Certificate of Live Birth (i.e. long form). There are people born in Japan, Taiwan, The Philippines, and elsewhere who have rudimentary BC’s showing Hawaiian birth. That was very common until the mid-60’s when vital records got tightened up.
So Trump can expect to keep having fun with the BC business. The only caveat is the possibility of a forgerty being produced.
And even THAT can’t change the fact of Barack Sr.’s British citizenship.

There are many people in Hawaii who were born overseas but granted rudimentary Hawaiian BC’s but NOT long forms.

I think he would like that, it maintains his cover. I thinkit would be better to have the Repub. Candidate go everywhere with a framed copy for any/all to see. That would put Obama in quite a corner. It would be the first thing everyone see from the opposition all the time. It would keep the issue in his face and impossible to brush off. I think that may be a strategy that will cause quite a bit of squirming in the White House.

I have always thought that the primary reason the Dunham’s moved to Hawaii was that the place was as loose as a goose in the early ‘60’s.

Hawaii was trying to pump up its population in the ‘50’s as part of a statehood push. Even after they gained statehood in 1959, a lot of the old sloppiness remained for several years.
