"Tom Sellecks reaction to a person pointing a real gun at people was entirely correct and justified. The person MISHANDLING the gun was violating the cardinal rule of gun safety: ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. The person violated another rule: Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. There is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for someone to point a gun at someone outside of an emergency situation.
These safety rules are not that difficult, yet morons across the world continue to violate them. If you do not know the safety rules, never handle a firearm."
I am on Tom’s side on this one....the guy should know you NEVER point a gun at anyone...........
I had a similar reaction to two clowns at the gun range awhile back.(turns out they were not members)
There is no excuse for mishandling weapons.
Always liked this guy. Quigly was a great movie. I just showed my wife Runaway the other night, another si-fi classic.
Forgot to add Quiqby Down Under was one of the few good things to come out of Hollywood in the past decade.
Misleading LSM headline...AGAIN! The man was not a gun-toter. He picked up a gun on a movie set and it was the first time he’d ever handled a gun. They make it sound he was a gun owner.
Chuckie Schmukie Schumer and your libtard buddies, dittos to you-
The constitution including the second amendment is not a plaything, stop waiving it.
Brings to mind Jon-Erik Hexum , the actor that accidentally killed himself on set with a blank.
The extra sounds like an idiot - only a “showbiz” publication would imply that Selleck is the one being a drama queen.
Sellek is right. You cannot assume it isn’t loaded. You have to assume it is loaded.
My brother set me straight on this in much the way when I was an idiot juvenile (coincidentally it was right around the time that Terry Kath blew his brains out “accidentally”). Needless to say I got the message.
And I am suprised that these hollywood folks are not forced to go to a gun safety course before taking a role involving guns.
Oh they are liberals, rules do not apply.
Rule No. 39728 It is probably not a good idea to lose your temper with any with the monicker “gun toting”
It irritates me to see people at Bass Pro violate this rule. And their employees seem oblivious to it.
Temper my @ss. He did the extra and everyone else a favor. He did the mature and responsible thing.
Well justified in this instance.
Good for Selleck. I’m glad his career is getting a boost. He seems to be quite an admirable person.
What a stupide headline....Lost his Temper?? Or reacted with a statement of “common sense”.
Selleck was right here and I wholeheartedly agree with him, but, his character is stilted and stiff. He looks ridiculous dying his hair and moustache.
Wait a darn minute.
Selleck is one of those knuckle dragging gun nuts. Everyone knows that those gun nuts (who oppose every single reasonable restriction on guns liberals can imagine) have no right to ever ever get upset over someone’s handling of a gun. This means Tom is a hypocrite (the most evil sin the right wingers could ever commit).
Tom should be supporting the reasonable restrictions us evolved liberals (who have never been mugged and who trust our government like those crazy Christians trust God) want to impose.
